What one did I buy?

So [:(][:(][:(][:(][:(][:(][:(][:(][:(].....today a lovely man from the RAC came and put my little baby on the back of a big flat horrible truck to take her to the hospital......

ABS and PSM failure AGAIN!!!!!

I promise I have been treating her really gently...but as it's now the second time in two weeks I have decided a full check up is required.

So I am forced to suffer a C class for the next few days whilst the consultants check out the problems.....

PP
Sad ........and hitting the chocolates........

Oh No!![]
Hopefully though they will find the fault this time, once and for all.

Mine looked poorly on the back of the flatbed the other weekend [:(]
All fixed now though [:D]

It seems like your ABD, PTM and ASR are confusing your PSM - don't ask, I'm confused as well. [8|]
Basically, when the wheels rotate at different speeds under certain road conditions, the ECU becomes confused and thinks there's something wrong. It needs resetting by switching off and restarting.
Happens quite a lot at Millbrook, even with brand new cars, on the small banked track following the mile straight. I'm not sure there's much that can be done about it, assuming it doesn't happen continually but only on the same piece of road each time.

Regards,

Clive

Hi Clive - my local OPC have been superb (again) and I collected her this afternoon. There was a registered fault which was a faulty brake light switch...this has been replaced. They always look after me as I have been a customer there for a while now and so when I got there they were so excited about the new car , it was great!!

Anyhow they did a few checks on it just to satisfy themselves she was as sound as she seemed and they found .......
AN OVER REV!!!!!

Fortunately it seems it was a technical fault and it had been registered before I had even purchased the car, so all cleared and recorded as such. Nice of them to check that for me though....and even nicer to correct it!!
Apparently they seem to think it is impossible to over rev on the tips anyway ......

So she has been cleaned in and out, re-set, fixed and is back on the drive looking super sexy.....

PPx........life is good again....

Work out what you want to gain from the day- they'll ask you when you get in the car... at least with advance warning you can think about it prior...[;)]
The lunch there is superb.... and the cakes...[8D]

Indeed - and tell your instructor that your mates said that doing 30mph across the kick plate was a doddle and you want to try it......[;)] Enjoy!

Or still spinning on the kick plate.........?[:D]
Lets hope it is 'on' and not OFF
!
In reply to you all...Kim thanks it was amazing, Gary I refrained from the cakes, Alan I am still spinning.....note to self....don't even think you can do the kick plate till you can!!!

It was a totally super sensational day and I learnt that actually I would own any of the range at all as each have their unique qualities.....

Highlights:-
  • Boxters on the Kick plate.....the gravel on the edges is very good for stopping......and I did several times achieve a full 360 with finessse, the likes of which have never been seen before. Note to self need more practice...
  • Ice hill...better and I was not one of the ones that started sliding back down hill!! Be proud of me as I took my PSM off twice and held it together!!
  • Off road...OMG a 1 in 1 and I didnt scream, fantastic
  • Cayenne....amazing so smooth....I was on the dual carriageway and our driver said...Sharon you may want to ease off a little as there is a camera round this bend.......and you are doing somewhat over the national speed limit..................... at 96mph!! Well done he said you have been the fastest driver here at the Experience today......oops.....I must say that the ease at which the car achieved that speed and the smooth drive took me by surprise!
  • Big bad Pan.....whew thats an amazing car and round the country roads it was a pleasure to drive, very impressive and actually really easy to handle
  • 911.......my my my......within 10 minutes Rob my instructor (who is a god in my eyes) had me so confident I had completely changed my driving position in the seat, hands at 9 and 3 and turning the wheel at 180 round the bends,,,,,totally taking the line as I've never experienced and increased my speed around 25mph more than when I started......Most impressive....no-one over took me...HOORAH!!!!
  • Lunch and the hosts.....dealer principal who invited me was there with two of his team and they were simply lovely.
  • Le Mans series this weekend so they were out on the track doing practice all day and so we got to watch loads from the roof!!
  • The day was a total buzz and I now want to give up work and be a racing driver......anyone want to sponser me?!
Lowlights:-
  • NONE
Now I am going to have to go back and have some one to one tuition ...............I am totally addicted to speed.....

PP.....watch out.............. here I come................................xx
