What to buy ?

There are definitely seams there, I just doubt they have filler in them from the factory. It could be inocuous, but when I have seen it before it has been on cars that are less than immaculate in other areas too.

I've also seen a few cars with the paint looking like its cracked in those seams. I don't think it actually is the paint itself, it's more likely to be the clear lacquer. It 'could' be a hint that some sort of work has been done in that area as fresher lacquer is prone to cracking.

The correct and official terminology as sanctioned by the forum for the late Turbo brakes is 'Reasonably Big Blacks' [:D]

OK, against all probability (and good sense ?) I have bought a 1992 135K item on eBay. Thanks again to everybody for the good advice.

Now I just need to insure it - anyone got any favourites for limited mileage cheap insurance ?

Well done sir. [8D]

We were with Classicline last year, but I got sainsbury's unlimited milage policy for cheaper this year.

Best to do a search - a much discussed subject. [:)]

Jeez, have you had your car for a year already, mik?[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Mine have all been daily drivers including calls 1 business use until now when it's fairly non-standard so I can't really help with limited mileage suggestions for a standard car.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Congrats. I use RH Specialist Cars for a 5000-mile policy, their adverts are in all the usual places.

I had a sneaky look on eBay. I quite like the logo cloth and a grey interior is unusual as it was only available for the last year of production.

Does that make it more desirable / worth more ....? [:D]

The auction ended at 12:55 am Saturday night / Sunday morning, by which time I was planning to be asleep. So I put my bid in at midnight, and found out the next morning that I won the thing by £2.00. How close is that ?

Going to pick it up on Thursday. Can't wait [;)]

Well done Mikey, I hope it's a good 'un, it's definitley one of the less common colours

We await the usual pics and plethora of questions once you've had it for a few days [:D]
