What's lurking in your garage.....

Cup car is with Olav in NL. Bits and pieces being completed. I have other Porsches to play with!

Not all 1:43 scale :O)

not a lot lurking in mine after spending 3 weekends cleaning it out and laying the flooring (bar the bumped door and upside down pic!)

Seen better garages in the ghetto... [:D]

The bent garage door is a nice touch as well [;)]

Beautiful contrast between old and new(ish)

Very envious... due to large amounts of clutter and work needed my cars are scattered to the 4 winds..

2 of them are piles of bits so that doesn't make much of a photo...

Then Infineon and the C2S are tucked away underground where the sun doesn't shine and the photos' don't come out...

And the 2 race cars are both with respected teams...

David,

Lovely in Maritime !

Couldn't help noticing the '74 (?) Mexico ! That really takes me back......I used to own numerous AVO Escorts during the 80's - early 90's including that ex Brands Hatch Modena Green / Daytona Yellow Shellsport Mexico - XNO 272L I acquired from BH and eventually sold to the Mexico registrar Andy Percival....think he still owns it. Happy fun days....but content now with just the memories !

Hi

Yes it's a '73 Mk1 Mexico - lots of fun, and VERY loud, twin 45s, single box exhaust and straight cut Quaife gear box [:D]

Andy Percival still owns your old Shellsport Mex, it's still in fine order and regularly displayed on the AVO circuit.

cheers
David

All tucked up out of this nasty snow and salt whilst I warmed my old bones in faraway places

There ya go!! [;)] Rgds Mel

Hi

I also had various RS Escorts including a Mex in the same colour as yours (great cars) but what caught my eye was that like myself, RS Kiwi and others you seem to be yet another RS owning racing cyclist?

Ian

Hi Ian

yes I do a bit of competitive cycling too, as you can see from photo my Look 496 time trial bike is hanging on the wall, on the other wall I've got a Look 595 road bike and a Dolan track bike. In my youth I rode for team GB, nowadays cycling is a bit more sedentary, although I'm still pretty swift in events upto 50 miles......

cheers
David

Dave

Once a cyclist, always a cyclist seems to be the way for me and most of my mates. Like you I'm slowing down a fair bit these days but still do say 10 LVRC road races per year and the odd sportive. The cycling scene round here (South Yorks/North Notts) is very good so its not hard to stay keen but like most things time is an issue. Spoke to RSKiwi last year and he does all kinds of foreign sportives these days.

I met a guy at Donington in '07 with a white 964RS and he also raced. Said he was local but can't remember his name. Famous cyclists with RS's include Stephen Roche, 2.7 RS, Max Sciandru, 993 RS.

Anyway I'm getting boring, now!

Regards

Ian

Contestant with late contribution: ... the blue stuff underneath the car is not the colour of the garage floor. .... it is a carpet ! Note the rims on the left hand side

spare set of mag rims in silk mat black. Had them fully powder coated in a vacuum chamber last year by a specialist.
