Kevin

Hi Richard,

I have just replaced my old ones with colour crested centers and I think it finishes of the wheel, but they also look good without the colour crest too. At the end of the day it's down to personal preference.

IMO black centre caps with coloured crested badges are a must for black wheels they'rre areal finishing touch.

If I had red wheels I'd probably get some crested caps remove the badge spray to colour of wheel and refix the badge.

You'll be pleased with the results

Personally I'd stay black like mine - somebody had to have the opposite opinion and I like the subtle touch!!

Richard,

If you have colour coded wheels, then personally I like the crested centre to give a focal point.

I have dark blue colour-coded wheels with these (car came with them) crested centres.

I am contemplating replacing the exsisting Plain Black Fuchs Wheel Centres 'A', on my 1989 3.2 Guards Red Carrera Cabriolet, with [ Coloured ] Porche Logo ones 'B'.

What is your opinion? Yes? No?

Give reasons if you wish!

Anyone else wana jump in here before I make a decision?

hi ian, if you would like to improve the look of your wheels, fit the locking wheel nut to the hole the lines up with the valve and also have the point of the crest towards the valve, it creates a better line for the eye to follow and is how it would be in any concours,

I would expect to fit the lockable wheel nuts on the red painted studs, as specified - So, is that the same stud? - Can't say I've noticed!

RS

if you are talking about one wheel stud being painted red and this does not line up with the valve just take off the wheel and rotate the wheel until the valve lines up with the painted stud.

Of course. Silly me. Please make allowances for my age and the hour! Forgot to apply the principle of 'Occam's Razor'

PS - Which would be your choice of centre?

Steve - I checked my wheels out before I drove out this morning. They are .......... as pictured. I also dropped into the Garage on the way home. The mechanics said, they always fit 'em on that way.

steh - As far as I'm aware, the wheels have not been refurbished. Certainly not by me anyway. All I have done is cleaned and lightly polished them. I assume they are meant to be semi-matt? I've photo-fitted a coloured logo centre to see what it looks like!

your wheels look much better with the crests on.

Hi Richard,

I agree with Steve, your wheels look better with the crests. Here is a picture of my wheel with a crest on "¦unfortunately the cap from my locking wheel nut is missing. [:(]
