Wheel Centres

Hi Greg

I have "No 1" which I brought from Porsche. They look good and I have no problem with them.
Here's a pic [:D]

The reason I went for "No 1" was because these were the ones on the car originally and I wanted the same ones

Finally got some wheel centres, although it wasn't without problems []!!!

Decided to buy the type below, and ordered them from Design 911.

A few days later a package turned up and they're the wrong type (they'd sent type No.1 as shown in the two previous posts).

I gave Design 911 a call aqnd they informed me they could no longer get the type I'd ordered and they hadn't got round to removing the option from their website (why they didn't call to tell my this and offer me the option is beyond me).

So I called Porscheshop who said they could get the type I wanted. I told Design 911 that I didn't want the set they'd sent me and sent them back.

Amazingly Design 911 called the next day to say they had just received a shipment of the centres I'd orignally ordered and sent them to me.

I'm now happy with the centres, but the experience enforced my belief in never accepting 2nd best and always questioning if suppliers don't deliver what they've promised!!!

i have delt with design 911 once before and would never deal with them again, got messed about by them and it cost me a whole day in time and a 150 mile round trip.

funny it seems that when you said you would return them they seem to of got a shipment in stock.

Hi Greg,

Im glad you got the one's you wanted. [:D] Don't forget to post a pic of your car with the new wheel centres!!

Enjoy!

I haven't put them on yet as I'm still looking at putting some 9's on the rear!

Pictures will be posted in due course [:)]

John

there are some here:

......... but read the note. I narrowly missed some on eBay when I was after them and ended up getting them from:

http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalog/wheel_center_caps_porsche.html

......... they don't come cheap!

I have a bunch of crested centres - I think 7 or 8 - that I would sell for cash.

Condition is average IIRC, some better than others. I would have to find them but would be open to offers. via PM

Ah! all is now clear, there appear to be some inexpensive centres with 'self adhesive crests' and also some where you have to paint the crests by hand.

Then there are the type Richard posted the link to which are very nifty.

Many thanks...JB

I can verify that those from PorscheShop are of excellent quality, heavy weight and an excellent fit, but as you probably now appreciate, they aint cheap!
