Where did you go in your Boxster today?

Taking my inspiration from a similar thread on another forum, may I suggest members share their travels, adventures and post a few pictures here.

Today I went to Moreton in Marsh on my first PCGB run (hood down, it was sunny) up to the club headquarters for a gossip, coffee and a rather lovely mince pie. Said a quick hi to ever friendly Tracy, our register secretary, then stopped off at Chastleton House on the way home. A good day, no photographs sorry!

Sounds like a similar day to ours, first time for us too. I think you were parked next to us when we left Chastleton ????

My trip was laughable. Went to an arts and craft shop and then to the coup (colloquial term for the refuse site or dump)

Got strange looks taking rubbish out of 'the engine' (bonnet, front boot, frunk as the Yanks would have it) . Can't be many Porsches go to the dump but at least the car got a run first time for a month

Not used our Boxster for a couple of weeks so went for a run out this morning; to Aldi and Morrisons via a 20 mile stretch of dual carriageway.

Brilliant car!

Yes that would have been us, I thought the NT should have given us a small discount for making such an interesting automotive display in their car park :)
We came up from Hertfordshire.

Here we are in the afternoon sun after you had left.

I was out and about on the 4th too. The sun was shining so down came the roof, on went the woolly hat and glove and took the Boxster for a blast up the M1 from London. Found myself on some awesome country lanes around Aylesbury. Epic blast!

Reims, well it was Saturday in truth, not today, but its a nice image, I'm third from right next to the "Martini" which belongs to another PCGB forum member.

Nice photo Bob, it only clicked when I returned home that you parked next to us at the national trust place last December. Are you going to the open day on Sunday?

Ah yes I remember the Boxsters, one being white [:D] Well that is a good one. Which open day? I am going to the Pro-Drive event Sunday 11th, up near Banbury.

This coming Sunday, first open day of the year at Cornbury House, we are having a run down again.
Yes the white one, also being the plain white one in Reims ??

Yes indeed the plain white one - I take it your not considering a little "sponsorship" then? You have a blank canvas so to speak!
Ah yes I remember now the dates clash although depending what time the Pro-Drive things ends I could head across as it will not be far. What time might you be there?

Blank canvas, I like that. I haven't got the cajonas for the stripes but think it looks fab.
we will probably aim for 11:00-11:30 ish give or take it's about 80 mins drive

Impromptu trip out to Leicestershire today, the wife wanted to go to a lingerie factory shop in Desborough (4 blokes sat in their cars outside looking bored [:D] ).

Then popped up the A6 to Market Harborough (where there were lots of Porsches...) for lunch, before heading home via Lutterworth

Went to golf and then back over the top of the north downs. Roof down both ways. Bit misty when I arrived at golf and the owner of an S2000 was surprised I had the top down. I told him that if it was not raining it was the 'law'. Lovely trip both ways.

Thanks @stephenJW always good to know, often have a run up that way in the summer. Region 21 went on a visit to Pro Drive the motor sport engineering firm in Banbury
founded by David Richards Arti Vatanen's old co-driver amongst many other things.

Went to Denham airfield with Region 21 for a breakfast meet. Great turnout of over 40 cars. Was rather pleased that, on the day, my 986 was the unique example of this most ubiquitous Porsche, also the least valuable too I imagine. :ROFLMAO:

Here we are 4th down on a line up of around 30 cars

And my vote for the most memorable car of the day with cheeky plate to boot. The owner was a nice guy whose father also had
a 964 cab., but in a more conservative white, parked alongside.

Wing mirrors are an interesting touch. if you know the name of this official Porsche colour you can award your self a small prize.
