Where did you go in your Boxster today?

Nowhere today instead it was wheels off, cleaned, de-tarred, polished and sealed before re-fitting. Bloody hot out there! [8D]

Just back from a quick tour of France, Germany, Switzerland and France again - started as a quick dart down to Stuttgart to see the museum and factory (both brilliant) but morphed into a couple of weeks touring in the sun etc etc - photos when checked for no incriminating evidence.

Yes, think we would like a few pics Andrew. Have a friend with a silver (not sure which one )981 with red roof and red interior, looks great.

Well, yesterday I decided to "charge the battery".

An absolutely delightful, bright sunny day, roof down and off we went, my typical charging route is:

From Stoke Mandeville to Great Kimble then to Monks Risborough to Princess Risborough.
Then to Longwick following on Thame road to Thame, through Thame and then to Long Chearsley, Cubblington, Haddenham.
Along the Ford road to Hartwell and then back home.

[:)]

Yesterday's "what do you want for dinner" discussion morphed into a "where shall we go for dinner" discussion - well on a sunny bank holiday Saturday evening it would be rude not to, so a blast across into Leicestershire which ended up in Market Harborough.

On the way back went under the recently re-vamped M6 / M1 / A14 interchange at Catthorpe to see what had been done with the local roads, found some nice new tarmac [:D]

Hi Wilbur
Are you in the R21 region Chiltern, did a run on some of these roads last week with a few Boxster owning friends. Did a loop around Aylesbury, starting on Dunstable Downs and ending up at the cafe in Ashridge Woods by the Bridgewater Monument. The Cubblington road is delightful.

Yes I am, I have not been to any meets yet though...I must to that. I went for the drive with my partner, but I am looking forward meeting others.

Yesterday was a lovely drive from the Midlands up to the lake district made so by the diversions away from the hold-ups on the M6 and some top-down motoring taking the scenic route from J36 round Kendal to Ambleside, past Keswick to Cockermouth - 232 miles at an average speed of 51mph and at 40.1 mpg.

The drive back this evening was somewhat less pleasant with torrential rain on the top part of the M6 (From Penrith down) that was so bad that had there been anywhere to stop I would have done so! Fuel consumption when we got home was only 36.1 mpg which I've put down to the horrendous weather, lower tyre pressures (0.2 bar down all around according to the TPM no doubt due to the lower ambient temps and the soaking roads) and may also be that I couldn't find Shell V-Power and put 37 litres of BP ultimate 97 in the tank.

No pics of the Boxster, but an interesting car and reg that I spotted in Whitehaven...

Went to Beaulieu, as the Boxster WOTY was a sell out, this was nice. I thought it was a replica at first, but the informed opinion was that it was not!

stunning looking like it ...it is a replica VW Technic 550 Spyder ..if it was the real deal would be worth fortunes
Looked at one a few years ago based on a Skoda chassis ,now 't wrong with a replica used to have a Speedster regret selling it .its the one in my avatar.

I was not convinced it was not a replica, as you say the real deal is worth a bit.
There may have been a lot of Porsches at Beaulieu but I was not impressed by the results of the peoples choice. I must vote if I go next year.
