Which PF pads for S2?

I'm delighted to hear you like the Porterfields.
I would imagine they were the R-4S, with S standing for street, I'm pretty sure they're the ones I use (will check the boxes tonight). The R-4 is more for race applications and requires a bit more heat into them to get them working well. If you get addicted to them it's well worth buying a small quantity from the States, they're approximately $99 over there, although saying that £120 was very reasonable, I've been quoted a lot more than that in the UK before (circa £170).

I had a rather early example of brake fade after only a few laps. Quite alarming really.

That is very alarming as you were already on Big Red brakes and PF pads. I know exchange rates make it difficult but was the Castrol SRF fluid the out and out racing fluid that is £35 a litre over here (same fluid is used in F1, well I know the Spyker uses it)
