Gary - as we expected the day was much more suited to the needs of the 997 register and I can only echo other participants to say how much I enjoyed it although the Yorkshire weekend and you drive seem to have claimed what little remaining tread I had and Mr Protyre is quoting £1380 for a set of four before the 10% Club discount ( but there don't seem to be any in the country sir...) I have again posted images covering the you-drive and post classic at www.gallery.me.com/andrew.rodgett where the name is youdrive and password 997register Many thanks, Andy

Gary / Clive, Many thanks also from the interlopers. It took my wife a lap or two to appreciate why we were at Silverstone - on the familiarisation lap she was pointing out to her instructor the fauna; a rabbit and two hares apparently! After that aberration – she is also good at spotting planes when she is driving on the M25 near Heathrow – she drove for the entire session apart from two fast laps at the end driven by her instructor. The day achieved many objectives for us. Carole drove our car home – which was a first – she said how much she’d enjoyed the day – another first where speed and cars are involved – and she agrees that Porsche are much better engineered cars than her little run-around (207). For my part, it was great to drive the Cayman S PDK and try out the launch control twice. Problem is, all this leads me to thinking that I need to buy a Cayman S Black Edition with PCCB and PDK. Many thanks for a well organised, and very well hosted event. Our hosts were very polite, couldn’t do enough for us, and little things, like unlimited soft drinks and coffee helped make the day. Lunch was very tasty and plenty for us, though I can see some big eaters may have wanted bigger portions. As to future events, I’d be interested in attending a half day or full day event which, I guess, would be informed by PEC’s Warm-up and Precision standard events? A great day out. David & Carole
Hi, I've just uploaded some photos from Saturday onto Photobucket. Please click [link=http://www.photobucket.com]Here[/link] and login using 997Register and Silverstone as the password. If anyone wants a full sized photo let me know. It'll be a large file (approx. 2 mb) so you'll need a fastish connection. Regards, Clive.
