Hi All

Just to let you know....most of the final Nitrous equipment is on its way to me and will be posting pictures here of it in the next couple of days

This is the new MAXX EXTREME race electronic controller, Twin bottle Valves, twin SPRV valves, distribution blocks..etc....

This is the stuff that will hopefully get me to 200 and a 10 second quarter (possibly )

Cost of this is around £900 with a few more small parts and a chute to come....so probably another £500 to add...

I emphasise this is high end Nitrous stuff for my particular aims..as usually a complete Nitrous kit which I already have - sort of
smile.gif
will cost around £600.

All the best Brett

Hi All :)

For those that dont know...the point of the equipment above is to allow me to increase the hp on my 928 from the standard 310 to around 800 to possibly 1000.

I will then attempt several aims...

1...reach 200 mph

2...Take the UK 928 Standing quarter record...

3...TAKE the ALL Porsche Standing quarter record (including beating the new Carrera GT)

4...Take the Bugatti Veryon Standing quarter record.....10.00 seconds at 147 mph

Hopefully lolllll

All the best Brett :)

Hi All :)

Another new picture....

This is a very important one....its a go faster sticker lol...

Amazing sticker actually..laser cut and refective...although it
looks red in the picture....its yellow or green or blue.....
depending on angle you look at it...

And of course it alters the aerodynamics at the back so makes me go a
lot faster lolllll :)

All the best Brett :)

Hi Brett,
This is all sounding very extreme! The question I have is how are you going to transmit all that power to the tarmac? IF the engine survives these mods, what about the transmission? I can't believe that the standard Mercedes transaxle will handle the torque for long enough to complete the timing. What wheels and tyres are you intending to use? Anyway good luck. I think you will need it.
Maybe see you Thursday night to discuss further, if you are attending Dorset's monthly meet.

Hi Geoff :)

Yes will be there on Thursday :)

For the 200 run....it wont be from a standing start so a lot less torque on the transmission...but you are right, the transmission is the weak spot...I will increase the hp gradually by 100 hp lumps to see how it holds up (the electronic controller will do that)

But if it holds up...and I do make 200 then the Carrera GT record at 205/206 is not that far away.....

Fastest Porsche in the Uk in the Dorset region sounds nice ...dont you think |:)

Wheels are from a 996/7 of course :)

All the best Brett :)

Hi MARTON :)

I have got the new contoller (Maxx Exreme Race) as in the picture above..I am constructing an ally plate to mount where the centre heater vents are, it will be around 10 ins by 8 ins...

It will contain...the MAXX plus 4 fighter pilot switches plus 4 laser lights plus Nitrous pressure gauge plus maybe a fitting for my sat nav..plus a fitting for my G-Tech...

I have a nasty feeling its going to look like a 747s controls but I need all the controls togather....I may even fit my chute pull on it....

Pictures soon when its completed.....then I need to rewire half the car :)

All the best Brett :)

Hi All :)

These are the sort of figures I am aiming for with my Nitrous...

0-30 1.32 s
0-60 2.65 s

standing 1/8 = 6.82 s @112.18 mph
standing 1/4 =10.35 s @141.7 mph

Might be pushed a little for all but the last one...as they are for the Veyron.........[:D]

But you never know if you dont try [8D]

All the best Brett :)
