964 RS Touring

I'm pretty sure the RSR/Clubsport 'public' mix up comes from post 993 though as has been said and then got retrospectively applied to mix up the designations in the 964.

Certain the factory have no mix up in them whatsoever and never ever called them the same.

Mainly internet spread b******* that has caused it.....

My copy of Total 911 dropped on the hall mat today complete with pics of Simon and Tony's cars adorning the front cover and the main feature inside [:)]. Be interested to hear what the experts thought of the article? A bit light on substance but great on pictures I thought ........... and possibly a few too many uses of the full '964 Carrera 2 RS' name when the shortened 964RS form would have done.

Managed to look at Starky's book now too - of course youare right, he doesnt refer to a 3.6 RSR until 1994 - which must have been a 993. Will refer to my car as Clubsport or NGT now!

Steve,
Always good to see your car in print, and yes I thought the pictures were superb. Alisdair certainly did us proud.
The article was an interesting comparison and one I haven't seen before in print. Hopefully bridged the void with (RSL) and (RST) camp, by including Tony's view on my (RST) standard car. They are very different in feel but both offer a rewarding drive.
There are also a few inaccuracies in the article technically, but then I guess its only 'geeks' that notice these - Tony, myself and probably most on here.
All in all, pleased with the result and always good to see the 964RS in print.
Great Day and thanks to Kieron for arranging it all!
