I think power assisted steering and the wheel being on the wrong side could have been the problem for you, mate. [:D]

Steve, That's obviously a big part of it - I think the braking system & solid top mounts/bushes probably make a big difference too. Lovely car though.... Cheers, Kev

Hi I am looking for either a c2 or c4 thought I would post if anyone was thinking of selling. I am a private buyer. Ideally looking for a nice clean unmolested car with good history. Thanks in advance

Good luck. There are many good cars out there but you will need to be patient looking and be very fast to commit when you find the right car. Pretty much all cars will need things doing if you are in any way OCD about your cars so don't expect perfection as that may not exist until you have had it in your garage for a few years :) Do your homework now working out who you will use for a PPI in different parts of the country so again you can move fast.

Thanks, have to remind myself to be patient. Went to look at this the other day as starting to think about expanding my search to a Targa. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/911-964/porsche-911-carrera-4-targa-1990/1789291?isexperiment=true Any thoughts as to the value? It was a nice car that had an engine rebuild 20K and 6 or 7 years ago, clutch replaced 10 years ago and about 50K. Its had the same owner since 2003 and 6 previous owners. Its been repainted at the front but for rust repair rather than accident damage. Had rust issues at scuttle so has had new wings and window out paint. Sticker still under the bonnet. Whats it worth roughly would you say? Thanks

nice colour. price seems fair... what are RS Wings though?! are they actually different?! if not, any such embellishment rings bells for me...

964 RS has different part number to the C2/C4 for front wings. Sadly I don't know what this means - likely to be some sort of subtle difference in the wheel arch I would guess.

As far as I am aware and anyone please correct me if they know different, the only difference with RS wings is that the wheel-arch lip has a "rolled" edge. This is to allow more clearance for the extreme suspension geometry and lower ride height.

I've had the car since 2002 and have used it as a daily driver and for touring around Europe Its not being used enough so now reluctantly for sale. 1991 964 Cabriolet Tiptronic 169k miles Full service history by the same engine specialist for the last 12 years. That's right - also to enable wider wheels and spacers to be fitted.

Created a PistonHeads add http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/911-964/porsche-911-carra-2-cb----------------1991/2400648 Scott 07734 716635

Nice. That's selling cheap guys. Buy an air cooled gem whilst you can. At this price it's got to be affordable and leaves enough change to buy some toupe tape too! [:D]

This was a good buy. Black 964C2 manual with 100k miles and full service history. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/911-964/porsche-911-carra-2-cp----------------1989/2396194 £20k Watch out for it at a dealer soon at 35k...[&:][&:]

Here's an interesting one which I spied at JZM when I dropped my car off for service at the weekend. Interesting because it's a C2, not a tiny mileage, at 147K, it's had a rebuild, retrim and repaint, up at £35K. Be interesting to see what they give as my car's valuation and the differential to this one. http://www.jzmporsche.com/porsche-for-sale/911/964-carrera-2-for-sale-576 You might like to look at the 2 most expensive cars they have up for sale [&:]
