ORIGINAL: boydyrs Hi Steve, interesetd in the Red 964 that may be for sale. Can you sms or call me with contact details 07836707805 Boydyrs
Hi Boydy, just seen this message and have texted you contact details of the owner. E-mail me using; boxsey at btinternet dot com if you need to.

Hi Guys, I have a Porsche 964 Carrera 4 Cab with 25,000 miles and full main dealer service history (serviced every 12 months regardless of mileage) Lovely car, all original paint, not rust etc. Treated with kid gloves. One issue only is the hood which I have been told is most likely a switch needs changing. I have all paperwork, service book and MOT's to prove mileage. Tappets were set less than 1000 miles ago I think just because the book says I should. No expense spared and only driven sensibly in nice weather. Car is white with a blue hood. I'm considering selling it as I rarely get to use it nowadays. I've owned it approximately 7 years and the first owner had it from about 12 months old. What is it worth?  Thanks

I am fairly sure this car was for sale at around £25995 and sold very quickly so you car should be worth similiar money I would have thought if not more. http://www.rpmtechnik.co.uk/sales/stock-list/964-carrera-4-cabriolet-ultra-low-mileage/

Got to be worth more than that surely ? I tried to buy a midnight blue LHD car around 3 years ago which was nowhere near as well spec'ed as your car for not much less than that. I'd have your one in a heartbeat if I didn't already have a 964 moneypit.

But you could have bought that same midnight blue car end of last year Talat for £15k...maybe less? The red car is interesting but being a 90 and 140k miles I'd want to know if its had an engine rebuild. If it has then probably fair price.

Hi Jason, No it hasn't had an engine rebuild. I have asked the mechanic who looks after it twice if it was required and also the guys at AMD when the suspension was done and they all said that it was not required. I was happy to do it as money has not really been an issue on it over the 10 years I've had her but if it wasn't required, it seemed daft to do it. I'm interested in people's views though if the car is under or over priced. There is such a wide range of prices on here, ebay, pistonheads etc and I thought I had priced it reasonably well. Regards Graham

I too have a 1990 964 c2 coupe LHD. Though i have no intention of selling, I am always keen to compare prices. Over the last few years I have seen a decreasing amount of uk based cars to compare prices against which has made this hard. Take a look at www.mobile.de for an idea of current euro prices. Good luck with your sale.

ORIGINAL: graham harvey Many thanks for the link. I think i might try selling it abroad as the prices are very strong on the Continent.
Graham, there's a chap in Switzerland that is interested, I've passed your contact details to him.

I think considering it has not had a rebuild £17K is pretty fair for your car. It might not need a rebuild now but at that mileage it will soon. Had it had a rebuild than definitely around 20K, but as you say I think you can get a higher price abroad with a LHD, they are in demand..

Many thanks Steve.

K reg 964 c4 cab. bright metallic blue. not used very much over the last 3-5 yrs. 100k miles had lots of paintwork through its life but looks all straight to me. please start asking questions... thanks.

Thought I would post this up as it used to be my car and I still know the chap I sold it to. I originally bought the car from SCOM so it was really nice and I had three great years with it (Steve Brookes has seen the car when I had it and would verify how nice it was) before selling it to the current owner Jamie who has turned it into a more track focused car / RS type car. The ad sums up well what has been done to it as I use the same garage for my 2.4s and used to see it there regularly being worked on. I thought it was yours Ian! Indeed it was a nice one and the chap looks to have continued to keep it that way. According to the thread on PH it has already sold! Unfortunately not to my buddy Kev who I alerted about it a couple of days ago.
