991 Owners Cars

Welcome! That's a fine looking motor :) I'm just over two years in to 991.2 Carrera S ownership and the honeymoon feeling still hasn't ended. The car, for me, just keeps getting better as I discover just how amazing 911s are.

Judging by your forum name I'm guessing you may have come to Porsche via a similar route to myself – TVR?

Mark

Correct! I had a Tasmin (with 390SE wheels and suspension) many years ago followed by a Griffith 500 SE. Most recently an E92 M3 that had a conrod go on the Autobahn and now my first Porsche.

Which TVR(s) did you have?

Just the one, a Tuscan. Had it from new in 2000 up to 2005. Then I moved to London and gave up on fast cars for a decade :) Moved back to the countryside and it woke up in me again. Wanted an everyday car that I could also track – there is nothing which does a split personality like the 911. Still so happy with my Carrera S!

Nice. TVR were special.

There's only one thing I didn't particularly like on my car and that's how exposed the radiators are on each side, so I've got some Zunsport grills. I look forward to driving again now, even if it's just popping down to Tesco. ;-)

A few images of my 991.2 C4 GTS in North Wales the week before last. Still early days (only had it 4 weeks), but I've never enjoyed driving so much! : )

My first Porsche, a 2018 991.2 GTS and absolutely loving it. Traded my M4 in against it and didn't expect it to feel so much faster given the engines have nearly identical outputs.

Very smart.

Silver is such a classic colour

Porsche just take driving to a new level, not sure I really understand why perhap it is just the Carlsberg of cars

My first foray in to 911 ownership... taken on collection day.

That was at Brands Hatch last week. Some lovely cars there being driven with enthusiasm, from GT3RS, GT3 and GT4 to some lovely older cars.

^^^ Very nice indeed. Colour-coded Porsche badge? Bottom of the front spoiler looks dangerously close to your driveway. Great registration number. [:)]

Glad to see your‘re still enjoying the T Wingcommander.

Badge is OEM, bead blasted and refinished by a chap in the states (for anyone interested, search Pelicanparts forum).
