991 Owners Cars

I would also be interested to see side-on shots of your lowered T Simon......Agate grey targa is very nice!

Wow, that is quite an aggressive stance! How's the front for catching on things now Simon? Do you wish you had axle lift? :)

It looks fab [:)]

Thanks! I’m very happy with it. No problems so far, touch wood. I’m just more careful with speed humps etc. No regrets about not having specced front axle lift, yet...! [;)]

Looks good Simon

please keep us informed on the future updates 👍

only had had mine a day but loving it, very different from my previous targa, much more focused drivers car

If you don't mind me asking what did you use to lower it?

Hi. If that is addressed to me, it was shorter, stiffer KW springs fitted by Litchfield Motors in Gloucestershire. Lowered by 10mm at the rear and 20mm at the front. I already had the Sport PASM set up. [:)]

My new addition - Pastel Orange 991.2 Targa 4 GTS

I have just swapped out my 991 Carrera 2S Cab for this new toy, having opted for a slightly brighter (PTS) colour this time! (Thanks to those on the forum who helped me deliberate).

Loving it so far - we just attended this morning's Goodwood Breakfast Club Meeting and are looking forward to going to Chatsworth for the PCGB organised Pageant at the end of June. Hope to see some of you there!

My journey started about 16 years ago when I went to Le Mans with a friend and we were camped next to a 944. I told my friend is always liked them and he said I could probably afford one. So 2x944 s2 went by. A little break, then a 996 Turbo in 2012 (which i sold last year) plus i have a 1970 911T that needs me to start working on it. Was a US import. Had that sat in the garage almost 4 years.

Well this is my first post, and my first Porsche as well. 2014 Carrera. Spec-wise it's pretty basic, but then after having a plethora of cars loaded with options, its a pleasant change to have no distractions. I don't think I've looked at the sat Nav since I've bought it, having all the information in front of you is far better!

My only foray into a 911 was a memorable one. in 2008 I was working in Germany and my boss was about to work overseas for 6 months and wanted me to look after his 997 GT3. After looking after it I began to understand why people like Porsche so much - I 'got it'.

I've had my car since March and it gets regularly driven (I now work a lot in South Wales, originally from near the Lake District). It's fantastic on long journeys, those Welsh roads have no chance against it. I have truly caught the bug of a 911!

Not sure if I will modify it at all, I don't think it needs it. I will plan on saving for a step up (3.8 - loving the NA surge with mine) but its safe to say that I'll be around for a while!

Finally, if anyone is in the South Wales area please let me know. I am here more than the North West of England, but I will try and get to meetings and events as much as possible. Happy to be here!

Welcome to the forum and great commute between the Lakes and Wales 🤓🤓 we need pictures, of course, and the ‘less is more’ on your spec is a great way forward. I’m guilty of the opposite...

My first Porsche - 991.2 GTS. Currently in the honeymoon phase and I don't see that ending any time soon.

Welcome! That's a fine looking motor :) I'm just over two years in to 991.2 Carrera S ownership and the honeymoon feeling still hasn't ended. The car, for me, just keeps getting better as I discover just how amazing 911s are.

Judging by your forum name I'm guessing you may have come to Porsche via a similar route to myself – TVR?
