Bought the 991.1 TT in January, and was a real coming home. It just works, day in, day out. All weathers. Its as quick as the McLaren (to all intents anyway - OK McLaren topped 200MPH)
I was very tempted by 570 prices when I was considering options 6 months ago. The stories and fairly poor efforts from Mac Glasgow swung me to Porsche. So glad!
A late £¼m car can now be bought for not much more than a new C2S - if you're brave enough! [&:]

Yeah, dealer experience was another issue, as well as the avalanche-like depreciation

Nice Turbo! Congrats, Gary.
What was the Ferrari experience like?

Sounded gorgeous, received complaint from one particular neighbour that I rattled his shed at 8:15 every morning (!!!) - which made me chuckle.
Actual day to day driving experience was not particularly rewarding, stop start traffic made one wince everytime you pulled away in the F1 gearbox seeing £ signs as another 0.1mm worn away from the single clutch!
In the end px'd for a McLaren 12C - now that I do regret px'ing for the 570. The 12C in my opinion was a great car

I completely understand the Ferrari itch! I have that too! But I don‘t believe that any Ferrari would serve as a sole car/daily driver? I have even started looking at pre-owned Ferraris at the local dealer!!
Maybe I’ll just hire one for the weekend instead...!!
I was once bogged down in a tailback on M5 for 3 hours and it didn't give a murmur. However, it wasn't so keen on Porlock Hill in auto and pinked incessantly.
Fuel stops were always protracted too, as a crowd would gather around the pumps to get a closer look and ask questions, which I was usually happy to address. Just being in it was always an event. It brought joy to my heart and made everyone else smile too!
I did 17½k in that car and loved every mile of it - then I put my sensible hat back on and bought a 911!

Your sensible 911 was the 997 GT2 as I recall...

Thank you, Clive. So maybe owning a Ferrari can go back on my bucket list after all! []
