991 Owners Cars

Lovely German engineering with a touch of Italian style.

Nice bird table too! [:D]

How do you find the switch from the NA to the Turbo? Is there much difference in the noise because the 991.1 GTS sounds great IMO and as far as i am aware there's no sports exhaust option for the turbo.

Yes, big difference in noise, as you'd expect switching from normally aspirated to turbo. Particularly from the RS4 which was an n/a V8 and sounded brutal. But I've had turbocharged cars before, so I knew what to expect. And it hasn't put me off at all. The whole package is more important to me than just how it sounds.

I believe you can go aftermarket for sports exhausts (Akrapovic for example) but in combination with engine work for the packages to function as intended.

I collected my 2015 991.1 GTS Cabriolet from OPC Guildford on 1st October having sold both my 2002 996 Carrera 2 and my 2014 981 Boxster GTS on 26th September. I had owned , and enjoyed, the 996 for seven years and the Boxster for two. The Boxster was intended to be a replacement for the 996 but, Because I loved driving it so much, I couldn’t let the 996 go. However, I recently decided I should finally go from two to one , was fortunate to quickly find buyers for both cars and the GTS , with a fantastic spec. suddenly came within financial reach. It looks like this is one of the best decisions I’ve made because the GTS is fantastic and easily greater than the sum of the former parts. This is a keeper.😁

I have a feeling they changed things some time ago to stop direct URLs for images working.

This any better I wonder? [link=https://imgbb.com]https://imgbb.com[/link]

EDIT: answered my own question. Yes, if you upload to that site you get a URL to your image. That won't work here. However, if you then right click on the image at the url and choose to copy the image URL, that URL does work here 👍

I use [link=https://postimages.org]https://postimages.org[/link]

Really easy and offer a range of url links for each image such as..
