Following the above Friday update.
Parked car on driveway about 17:40 Friday evening. Went out to car on Saturday evening to a non responsive car.
Followed 'Emergency unlocking' procedure in the Good to know app (which as mentioned on here is STILL wrong!). As I don't have any jumper cables I called 'Porsche Assistance'...90 minutes later an AA patrol man arrived.
The conversation went something like;
"Have you driven the car recently?"
"I know the dealership did over a hundred miles in it in the last 2 days"
"Oh, in that case there must be something wrong with it! I can boost the battery for you, other than that I can get it towed to the dealership on Monday"
I decided to go with the boost option.
FYI Because the emergency door release only opens drivers door, an 'end of shift' AA patrol men has to lean in the drivers side of your pride and joy in their greasy overalls and place their greasy battery boaster on the carpet of your passenger footwell to open the bonnet release! (I'd lost any interest in being precious now)
Left car running on driveway for 30 minutes then went for an hours drive to charge the battery for Sunday breakfast meet and drive. Received two phone calls from Porsche Connect to say the car is reporting its being stolen (I wish!).
Sunday, while driving to meet I noticed the drivers one click window switch has stopped functioning. Then, after a great R23 breakfast drive (thank you Christine and Martin) I went to pop the rear engine 'cover' only to find that was also dead!
After some advise from fellow members I will be speaking with the Dealer Principle in the morning.
Lee.
