997 - returning to the fold

really school boy question here but is there a rear spoiler than lifts when the car gets to a certain speed that u can turn off like the 964 or is that really old hat now??

Yes the spoiler does still lift up, no off switch though.

haha ok mate. being sat being the wheel of the one i test drove i couldnt see it! does it go up when u hit 50mph or something????

I'm pretty sure it happens at 75mph on the 997, although there is obviously the button that you can use to raise or lower it manually !!

Benefit of the Turbo, is that you can just about see the spoiler in the rear view mirror when it is raised!

yes it happens at 70-75mph on cayman and 997 unless you are taking your 12 yr old to school in it when it seems to go up at zero mph[:D][:D]amid grins from passenger seat
so if its up basically you are breaking the law[:mad:]and plod knows.hasnt stopped most of us yet

I always drive with mine in the manually raised position....... officer [:eek:]
