Anglesey Track Day 27th April

Now now Peter, that's fighting talk-you'll have Jeremy upset-it's bad enough he can't overtake Rob.[]

Blimey rob....I have got you worried if youre having to get a few cheeky laps in before we even get there........albeit happy to bask in your reflected glory [;)]

Just a quick question please. I will be in Llandudno for Porsche on the Prom but can I spectate at Anglesey for the track day on Saturday. Is there an entrance fee do you know. Thanks

Gary

You would be welcome to come and spectate FOC.

You would however regret not taking part, spaces still available, why not try the half day in the afternoon?

Rob, thanks for the warm welcome. I will have to give participation a miss this time and hopefully not regret it too much, but I hope to be there to spectate.

Gary

Come and say hello then gary, I'll be in the blue 997 turbo being held up by robs white spyder as he cannot see blue flags.......

Jamie's the one in the pits with the new white 911 with matching teeth signing autographs....

Thats Team Mangetout....sort of a poor mans top gear.....[:D][;)]

oh and colin is region 18's resident landscape gardener.....specialises in gravel......

It's not that we're like a poor man's Top Gear.

They are a rich man's Team Mangetout!

[:D]

Incidentally, with a dozen days to go, we need about another dozen additional drivers to sign up so that this event does not make a loss for the Club. Roll up, roll up! What could be better than a nice quiet Porsche only track day amongst friends amidst the beautiful Welsh scenery?

That's quiet as in not too many people on track at the same time, the flat sixes will be noisy as hell!

What's that Jamie-have you gone & got a modification? I have got the impression that you don't drive that fast-a) because you don't turn up & b) because you're scared of gravel.[:)]

Oh you'd be surpirised - the boy's a top peddler.

Factory fit Porsche Sports Exhaust always sorts the men from the boys - let those flat sixes howl!

mike....are you inferring jamie has a fat backside??

he'll not like that you know, very image conscious is our jamie [;)]

Yes, Peter, you're absolutely right, and I'm sure we'll just lull the full-dayers into a false sense of security before we hit the track in winning fashion. And keep the racing line [:D]

But of course it's no competing... [;)]

We'll certainly give the early birds a run for their money Graeme!! As if ...............

Just let me say something about insurance.

I changed companies yesterday and went with the clubs new sponsors Locktons who give track day cover.

The reason I did this was because my previous insurer Aviva (via the brokers) wanted approximately £160 for one track day and stated that there must be no one in the car except me - the driver. So no chance of taking passengers or even an instructor! How daft is that.

I would advise you all check with your insurance companies if you are covered to take a second person in the car.

Also with Locktons I get full UK and European breakdown and recovery which will save me another £150 when I renew my Porsche warranty in June.
