Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I see the £50k manual 987 at Leicester sold within a few days, soon be over 981 prices.

987 Spyder's still retail for below original list price unlike this 981 fitted with the DFS Chairs which has just sold for over original list price despite being in its 6th year and definitely wrong seats

What price did it sell for, as JZM just have reserved posted on the ad?

Ashgoods have a v/low milage 987 Spyder on offer for £49,995 which looks a bit punchy. It must be the sunshine - all the investments squirrelled away are getting some air at last. I'm not sure an ultra low milage car is necessarily a great deal - unless they have been regularly run. More problems seem to manifest themselves on cars that sit in a garage for months on end, living their lives on the end of a CTEK charger. A bit of a waste really.

It was on for £69900 so I would guess £66k plus

Hello All,

Just posted my 987 Spyder for sale 14k miles and just had a 48k (big Service due to age not mileage) £39,900. Car stored in garage roof off in Carcoon for 5 years.

Barty,

This pistonheads thread may provide you with a potential purchaser for your Spyder:

[link=https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=231&t=1928533&i=20]https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=231&t=1928533&i=20[/link]

Noticed the thread as he was asking about my Spyder which I sold to a dealer (which has now been reserved).

Not many Spyders for sale so may be worth posting on Pistonheads and surprisingly Facebooks Porsche for Sale UK (that is where I had the most enquiries)

George

Hi George,

Many thanks for responding to my post / advert. I will post on Pistonheads and also the Facebook page and see what responses I get.

Much appreciated.

Barty

I've recently picked up my 987 Spyder and I'm very keen to join this run if there is space as it almost passes my front door! Do you have the link to register? Cheers, Daniel

Saw your post on Ph last night but no price against it ... if it had been any other colour you would have had a email esp when I see the price now ..it would be heading North to join my Red one .can I say you are selling it way to cheap esp with the miles and service done just my opinion .

Thanks for your reply and post, I had it with a dealer all of last year Summer season (admittedly Covid timing) apparently no viewings. Had another dealer that is was purchased from come with trailer to realise it didn't have AC and said price and my price would be nearer £33-34k. So to be honest, I have not followed the market for a long while and based on a £6k dealer mark-up that was my price.

Maybe a stick away another 5 years in the garage as it is such a great car.

Actual Spyder owners interested in the CSC should DM @Craigvarty through Instagram for further information.

CSC and PCGB are in close contact regarding the event.

Hi Barty. Might be a good idea to put some pics of the whole outside of the car so people can see how nice it actually is? I looked at the PCGB ad but could only see artistic pics of parts of the car, and wondered why there are none of the whole car ;)

Good question on pics, I locked myself away in the garage for a weekend to get over 100 photo's of interior, underneath and close up's of all internal and front and back lids. Idea was Collecting Cars where all cars seem to have between 150 - 300 photo's (bit overkill I would say). So need to find time when back with the car and do another batch of outdoor shots. Then I will have the full set of the car.

Hi.

I can categorically say PCGB are not officially involved in this event.

Although PCGB do have a track day there on this day.

Cheers.

Barty,

Sent you an email last night as may have a lead for your Spyder in case you are interested.

Feel free to give me a shout if you want to chat :)

Cheers

George

This has to be something special at this price level for a 12k mile example

£75900 looks well over list still

It’s certainly special Rob - there’s so much black that you’ll spend your whole life cleaning it, and then get backache sitting in it trying to rest because it’s got those awful 918 seats with no lumbar support unlike the proper GT buckets which smart people chose ;)
