Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

what 4 things were your bug bears on other cars PPF etc ?

Rear wing ppf stopped short where as mine has been tucked right into rear light cluster so no unsightly edge

Door Mirrors had a good few mm of space around the entire base mine are tight up to the actual base

Rear PU unsightly join in the middle below number plate and due to the way it had been done there was now a black hairline showing the join nicely Mine has been wrapped with one piece zero joins

3rd Brake light hadn't been removed I guess and joins showing Mine was done off the car giving a seamless look to it

5th bug bear was inside front lid PPF had lifted away from the panel edges only noticeable when open but I was told mine will stay attached as the example I saw is just bad craftsmanship by the fitter

Mr D what's happening to you Buying another Spyder [8D] Considering the dreaded PPF![] Hope you are feeling OK :ROFLMAO: Look forward to seeing it as and when you pull the trigger and good luck with the hunt for one

Car was done, after much research, by Azuri Car Care The company is owned by a very dedicated to ultimate perfection petrol head and his team all think just like him so the entire journey from start to finish was an absolute pleasure as everyone was on the same page as to what needed to be done and it couldn't have turned out better

HI

I fancy a 718 Spyder been on the list for 2 years, don't think it's going to happen. Asked for a 718 GT4 RS and again seems a no.

Asked for a GTS PDK Boxster, again seems a never ending list of mmmm and maybe's and long waits. Hence the M40i Z4.

As my GT3 has gone up the last 6 months, don't mind buying one at 10k overs as it's swings and round abouts and have found a car I like.

PPF , yes I hate it, but I would use this car as my daily and in winter, so would do front PU, bonnet and sills. BUT WANT wrap around finishes like you have had done as PPF gets black edges after 12 months. Keeping my 987.2 Spyder for ever :), had the 981 and would really like the 718 Car. Had the GT3 for 3.5 years, don't use it enough and values are the highest they will be so can sell the GT3 and the Z4 m40i which has been a great car and I already put 5k miles on it, and get down to 2 cars, both Spyders :) and come away with £100k cash in my pocket and a 718 Spyder, I gave the oh the Golf CS so we have a cool 4 seater now to use when needed. Would do some choice mods to the car say £25k ish (run 2 sets of wheels/tyres combo) and then run it for 50k miles. New cars are not doing for me and I have too many cars. Feels like a nice car to run for 3 years and do some Longer trips in and more Euro trips going forward. And allows me to do 2 or 3 track days in the 718 as I would swap brakes, etc so would do the track duty better than the 981 I ran. I want to run a car and say sod the miles and the fall in value. The GT3 is Not that car , it's too hard core to run 100% of the time.

will a 50k mile Spyder ever be worth nothing, I doubt it, could work out cheap motoring over 50k miles.

Also OPC service costs have tripled and BMW not far behind, TAX is up and insurance is up, so having only 2 cars would be nice for my pocket also.

"No Sale" stalled at circa £64500 (£68370 with buyers commission)

Wonder how long this one will take to sell lower spec higher mileage[&:]

Looks like some normality is returning to the used Porsche car market,£70k is what got you a low miles 981 Spyder 6months ago and even less pre Covid, hopefully the 718 spyder will follow with cars down to low 80s in the coming months and perhaps the 981 moving back to the £60-65k bracket! We shall see?

981 market is well over valued now, I said this one would not meet reserve.

£70k tops for mint low miles 981's as the 718 is a far better car and you can get one 5 years newer for £89k, so why pay £85k for a 5 year old 981 !

I sold my 981 Spyder back in the day for £67k

Winter is coming more likely reason ... Bristol has knocked £6k off 2 718 Spyders and Colchester and Solihull £5k off since end September. Why sell a Spyder now v wait for Spring

don't seem to make any odds time of year these days.

the cars were over priced and Porsche are still selling 718's so just too many for sale vs demand.

you sell a spyder now to save the winter storage and looking after issues. Cannot see these going back up in Spring 2022.

Depends if there is still a supply issue in spring which there probably will be. Probably not to the previous peak I agree

less buyers as a raft of new Porsche models are due out at list price.

to many cars now the other day 64 718 GT4's were for sale !!

I personally think this is our downwards trend and nothing to do with winter as a car like a spyder if a good example sells well any time of year! The downward pricing is affecting coupes as well. I think the Porsche used market has hit a peak of supply and demand this would have happened sooner if it wasn’t for the chip shortage! Spring we will see more good low miles cars sub £70k 981 and sub £90k 718.

I would say so. the hype will be on the RS GT4 and Spyders next plus the many 911 models due out.

I am holding out to buy a 718 spyder but can wait it out till April.

Posted tonight on PH by the previous owner of the 2.7k mile 981

Well the trader who bought it from me in July and was trying to sell for mid £80’s and then listed it on CC and it didn’t sell at £68k highest bid is now advertising it for £76,990 which is less than they paid me for it! Value adjustment or just time of the year…???

Cars sell now any time of year, was not really a value adjustment, just the dealer had it for sale too much in the summer ! a few 981 have been for sale all summer !!

981's are sub £70k cars imo since the 718 came out and now also dropping a bit. why pay £86k for a 981 5 year old car when £89k gets you a 718 which is far superior ?

might firm up come April 2022 but then a lot more 718 will be built and flipped.
