not for me,

1: centre locks !!

2: softer for track ! vs a GT3 or 4RS

3: Way too fast for the roads in the UK

4: PDK only.

5: that shitting roof lol not too bad on the 987 as high day fun car at £50k and not easy to hit 124mph in a 987 . but on a car this fast and £130k you hit 140 mph in a blink of an eye then your roof blows off !

that's without the £130k asking price, I don't get the car or market bar bragging rights to be honest, nor the GT4 RS just because they can do it does not mean they should imho.

26 Cars For Sale for past 2 months this figure has been very static (23-26) and the only thing that seems to be moving south are the prices

25418817564_2c457526f6_o.jpg

Depends prices start at the top end at £120k

If you want a sub 10k miles manual with buckets, LEDS, Carbon under 10k miles only 2 cars to choose from !! . which is resale spec and what 80% buyers would be after I would say or would be the 1st cars to move normally. which leaves 24 lemons :p ....... no 987.2 Manual Spyder's for sale with buckets atm :)

Interestingly it seems despite the pandemic and subsequent semi conductors shortages etc Porsche did ramp up 718 Spyder numbers as they implied from the get go back in 2019

Anyone know final 718 figures for UK

981 Spyder - 829 North America - 227 UK -2486 worldwide

From Lucifer on Rennlist - North America 718 Spyder 2480

CC the new dealer dumping ground !!! Having owned one with this colour inside it's not a seller, in fact I have to buy it from my OPC as it was stuck there not selling, so I offered to buy it for a GT3 slot which worked, then could not sell it myself so sold it very cheap to a dealer. 2nd hand though this interior is a lemon of a car to sell hence it's on CC.

£74277 NO SALE [&:]

As I said lemon spec,

People will listen to me one day after 25 years and all the shit I put with :) All these options are great for the 1st time buyer like comfort seats and red inside, but 2nd hand it just makes the car a lemon to sell.

The classic interior is a matter of taste and not for me but the comfort seats seem to find favour with a lot of owners particularly for the type of usage the car tends to have. It is mainly a weekend road car, I know a lot of owners and there are more comfort than bucket cars, in particular those with PDK. My current car has 18 way and my previous had buckets, for me I think I prefer buckets but I would not dismiss a car over the seats. As David says spec is important, mileage also but 2nd hand Spyder's these days seem to have more miles than most GT type cars probably due to the CSC Spyder club which actively encourages driving the cars and with the end of production a number of these members have renewed their cars putting higher mileage cars into the system. 23 cars for sale currently in the OPC system which is a lot. This will settle over time and they will continue to be a desirable car. For me the reason the car did not sell is more to do with the market and interest rates than the car (which incidentally does have buckets) most of these cars will be bought with finance and the current rates are way above where they need to be, the trade won't buy unless cheap because of the amount of cars in the system so unless the cars spec is standout currently selling will be difficult unless cheap. WBAC if you put it in their system they come up with a price of £69455, the market is in panic mode as cars are not selling and what were free cars making over list will cease at least for the short term. I intend to keep mine and use it they are brilliant cars probably all the sports car you could ever want.

I think if people are too old to have buckets they must be too old to be arsed with a manual roof, and thus the 25th Boxster would be a great car for older retired people.

I actually hate the roof to be honest and tend to drive mine roof up more than down as the UK summer has been showers, if it were electric I would have had it down a lot more.

infact if I could swap my 718 Spyder for the perfect 25th I would do it, if it were free, but selling atm is HARD and dealers want too much %%% I am 54 and about to retire so will look at my options on what to keep and what to sell. I will prob sell the 718 as I cannot be doing with PADM errors and having to have a warranty once I do retire in a few months. As A few know I bought a 997 manual 2WD GTS as my retirement car. SO every thing else will slowly go. even the 987 :-( I would not own a comfort 718 Sypder myself, A: bad resale to try and get out of fast, b: rather have a 25th ed Boxster with comforts and a working roof. Just rare cars to find with black interior. I said above resale best spec from the 23 for sale is a low 5 cars in an ok ish spec, and actually none out of the 23 for sale I would even buy atm as those 5 are also black or Crayon !!! the 2 worst sellers after yellow !! But stock does change a lot on these. Crayon seems to be a lemon colour now !! and blacks always been a slow seller. Funny how a trendy colour one year turns to a lemon colour only 2 years later ! Ofcourse if you like them you like them and people must like them :) I am only talking what sells fastest and none of this is my Personal opinion, just basic geeky looking at sales posts day on day for 25 years ! The sexy £120k green one which was mega has sold !!! but was also the right spec on top of the PTS colour. SO the right spec cars can get £120k still which is amazing. So while 23 OPC 718 Spyder are for sale , not one I would want personally and my spec only was manual, buckets LED's and not black or Crayon NO CARS !!

looking at stats and what hangs about, PDK don't suit fast Spyder sales either and seems to sell much much better on the GT4's now days ! Now I am on the lookout for a PDK Python Green GT4 with leds and buckets to have a last go at a few track days in 2024, but again NONE for sale :-( !!!

Another almost brand new Spyder being flipped for a quick buck but this time has the roof to match the red interior & armchairs [&:]

From image 59/99 there's some disparity with the advert's 3600 miles and the analogue kmh speedometer showing 2602 miles.......

The tachometer digital speed is in mph, so in all, quite a display mixture.

Regards

Bill

yet another low rent car, thing is at this money people normally have the money to buy a better spec car. This was proven when the £120k green car sold no issue.
