Unlike this latest to the party SRS that listed at £152,254 on configurator and is up for sale at £153,900 with 1461 miles and registered January 2024:eek:

Agreed but the rumours were spread by themselves :)

Noted VED on new ICE cars with 228g/km rating has doubled so on new RS Spyders £4680!

In the meantime what is going on with faulty centre lock parts not available to January and cars in meantime can'y be driven if you have one of the affected vehicles

VED rates are being adjusted in April 2025
 
£5k is a lot on a new SRS though or the new GT3. Cannot see me buying new cars these days so not really an issue.
 
looking at WW stock levels and Factory closes by VW etc, seems less and less people are buying new cars than ever before. unless you are into cars for fun and track days why throw good money down the toilet. £10k gets you a nice 2nd hand car these days for transport.
I see a few manafactures offering 0% deals again and money towards a car deposit.

9th November will be the big day!

Sadly the 987.2 will have to go. I will miss it and perhaps, one day, I will own another 987.2 again.
 
GTS, Turbo, Turbo S and all GT3 series potentially affected. Over 1500 cars in the UK, so not that small a window!
A small batch of bad parts within that range of dates though. So less of an issue than reported and you get a hire car.

Boxster Spyder​

On 5 November 2009, Porsche officially announced a new variant of the Boxster, which was officially unveiled at the 2009 Los Angeles Motor Show. Positioned above the Boxster S, the Boxster Spyder was the lightest Porsche on the market at the time, weighing 1,275 kg (2,811 lb), 80 kg (176 lb) lighter than a Boxster S. This was achieved through the elimination of the conventional soft top's operating mechanism, the radio/PCM unit, door handles, air conditioning, storage compartments, cup holders and large LED light modules on the front fascia, although some of these could be re-added to the car in the form of options. Weight saving was also gained using aluminum doors, an aluminum rear deck and the lightest 19-inch wheels in the Porsche pallet. The Spyder has a firmer suspension setup than the other Boxster models, and is almost one inch lower in order to have improved handling. A manually operated canvas top, carbon fibre sports bucket seats and two signature humps running along the back of the vehicle provide characteristic design elements. It is powered by a six-cylinder boxer engine rated at 320 PS (316 hp; 235 kW) and 273 lb⋅ft (370 N⋅m) of torque, a 7.5 kW (10 hp) increase in power over the Boxster S and the related Cayman S. The Boxster Spyder came with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and had Porsche's 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox available as an option. The vehicle was released worldwide in February 2010 as a 2011 model.
