Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

when the GFV is £65k, the interest rate is 11.9% and total amount payable is £190k odd it's no wonder these are not selling.

OPC are going to have massive back logs of stock not just on these but Taycans and even every new 992.2 911, people in the main cannot afford £2.7k a month to rent a car.

It's not like you can part ex your current car as they offer nothing for them atm leaving every owner of anew car on finance in neg equity if you want to sell it before your 3 or 4 years is up.

Trade on a WP SRS is circa £120k atm so who wants to loose £30k plus the minute you drive it out the showroom or £100k if you buy it and hand it back in 3 years !

That’s the main reason why I got rid of my last 993. The bumper has been repainted by a Porsche approved body shop, but the colour match was terrible. When I went to the OPC’s body shop, they said to get a perfect match they’d need to paint the bumper, bonnet and wings.

thats why I asked if it was done in the UK by an OPC or is it all factory finish, loads of cars have paint after they arrive in the UK. My 2015 gt4 had to go in for paint twice once it was in England due to an issue.

well cannot see that selling it's red inside on a yellow car !
At the right price perhaps someone will pull the trigger
In the meantime perhaps one of the lowest depreciating Spyder models to date despite Mr D disliking them with a passion 🤪
237 UK cars originally and all with 3 pedals

I like the 981 it's just comes last out the 3 models, ok 4 models now. But not decided where the RS sits yet.

I sold my 987 for £50k after 12 years, 718 can be still £95k and over list price, seems they all hold value, the worst one seems to be manual 718's. while PDK command daft values still.
there is no bad spyder.

I agree with you David there is no such thing as a bad Spyder each has its plus's and minus's and I am sure if you are a regular Porsche GT owner the RS will be there dream Spyder

I have driven the 718 Spyder manual & PDK several times since 2019 and concluded if i wanted a daily driver then best version would have been the 718 PDK but as a dry day pure run for some fun Spyder for me the manual 981 version ticks all my boxes hence in my 9th year with the old girl and can't see any end in sight as the thrill is still very present for me
