Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I was at my OPC yesterday and they had a nice PTS Spyder in their showroom. It had just sold but was a cancelled order and it sat there for quite some time.

They also have a very nice brand new, un registered 4RS in the showroom at list price. My salesman said that times are changing. They have never had such a special car sat in their showroom ready to go. They also have a brand new 911.2 GTS in that is ready to go. No takers on it as of yet!

Sign of the times we now live in and with 8 brand new 4RS's advertised available today and have been for sometime I think that very hated Porsche word "Discount" is what will be required to move them along

I was being kind to the original "privileged buyer"!

I wonder what the figures would be for anyone who bought a used/flipped one when the asking price was £200k + compared to what they would now be offered for an outright sale......

It almost makes my Spyder seem a bargain at probably £10 a mile depreciation over last two years and about £90 a week ongoing cost whether or not I use it... Plus then the fuel, tyres and oil.......

Perhaps I ought to get my DAF 33 out a bit more at £130 a year?!

Regards

Bill
Romans sold 2 very early PTS examples both with Armchairs delivery miles and asking prices were circa £200k and both went PDQ Even if they are both super low miles still can't see trade being much above £110k + today especially when the following brand new unregistered example was £165,939 excl VED and on offer right now at £155,900

25+ at OPC now ! Clients being told they will loose the £15k deposits on these new cars, but a trade in trade is worse and more than a £15k loss.

I have lost over £30k on my 4RS and I paid under list, people who paid over 12 months ago could be £80k to £100 out of pocket today. Same with the SRS when they were £200k now trade for a WP fully speced car is sub £125k
YOU can see why taking the £15k deposit hit is a better way out hence all the new cars up for sale !

UK on paper will go back into recession next month I would say so these cars will have to keep falling.
