Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Jealous of you going to Springsteen concert, was it what you expected??
Andy I have seen Bruce & East Street Band at least a dozen times over the years and last nights show in the stadium can only be described as "ROCKIN "and as a live act they have to be up their with the very best in the world today [link=http://brucetapes.com/2013/06/15/bruce-springsteen-2013-06-15-wembley-stadium-london-england/]http://brucetapes.com/2013/06/15/bruce-springsteen-2013-06-15-wembley-stadium-london-england/[/link] [link=http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&docid=BVtFbs3_kO4cJM&tbnid=PYwfuCzfD44AZM:&ved=0CAUQjRw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kustomrama.com%2Findex.php%3Ftitle%3DPorsche_Spyder&ei=Em69UaipOdDv0gWGkoCYCw&bvm=bv.47883778,d.d2k&psig=AFQjCNEvWXAryt5q4pLDG1dUWlWnRQkk7g&ust=1371455369599714]

Shirley getting too many on the market now[:)] Earlier this week an OPC rang me (not one of my regulars but they have me on file as I got a quote from them for some work) asking if I wanted to sell because they are desperate for stock.

That blue car just looks right with silver wheels and silver stripe. What's the best colour interior to finish it off? Black with silver/grey seat belts, or the tan hide in that car, which does look ok too - better than it did in a white car.

ORIGINAL: homerdog what I would really like is buckets, they make the car that extra bit special. I still haven't ruled out buying the right car if it comes along, you can have first refusal on mine dyllan!
Are you also looking to switch to manual? Or have you got manual - might not be remembering correctly who's got what.

[/link] [/quote] Daro I don't dislike the Red but would need to see in the flesh. Knowing your concours history the Alcantara would not be a bad choice but would need constant grooming. My heavyweight 986 L.E. 2004 had option for Dark Grey leather. Think I would go that way[;)]

Funnily enough when I was considering a brand new Spyder I wanted the carbon buckets in full leather but was firmly told this was not an option even when ordering the full leather interior upgrade [&o] I am sure this PTS car has the full leather bucket seat I wanted but then again it was a motor show model Alcantara only must be considerably more profitable for Porsche than the leather alternative[:'(]

I've got PDK, but wouldn't mind manual - although spending three days with PDK in France has gone a long way to convincing me how good it is!

I would think a good trimmer could put leather or similar inserts in the Bucket seats as the Alcantara seems to be just Velcro backed sections .

[/quote] I agree but then you have the added expense and trouble of getting a factory colour and feel match when they could easily have allowed UK buyers to have specified it ex factory especially as each car is made to order and the option is available on a GT3 with buckets[:'(]

I'd also like full leather in the buckets and it was an option on standard 987's and 997's taking buckets. If I manage to get such a set in the Spyder I can pretend I paid the Porsche Exclusive dept £thousands to have it done in the Spyder[:D]

I've thought about having one of the three sections retrimmed in red alcantara as a highlight.

It was exactly as reviewed here [;)] http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/bruce-springsteen/10123300/Bruce-Springsteen-Wembley-Stadium-review.html

Daro had some pics of a Spyder with the full alcantara inserts changed to red...
