ORIGINAL: flat6 This wheel seems to be popping up in other countries. Don't know if perhaps it was a winter wheel option, in countries where winter tyres are enforced... I dunno. But they suit the car even less than turbo II imho [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paD9of5hYfw&feature=related]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paD9of5hYfw&feature=related[/link]

I think that was an 18" option so maybe it is a winter tyres wheel job .. Great video and talk about torturing the tyres ....

Could be right as it might be the most spaced spokes to combat snow packing. The one in the snow is on the Gen 1 Cayman S wheel, which has similarly wide spacing and is 18".

Hi all, That'll be me! Hopefully collect it this Friday with its new set of Spyder wheels on. Will post full description and photos this weekend. MrD, your the reason I started looking at the Spyder after you posted on SELOC, it will now sit alongside my Elise. Thanks. Oh, mint set of turbo II wheels available if anyone wants to ruin as Spyder.... James

Hi James As you may well know I have left seloc :). I hope you love the Spyder, I did a Lot day last week and it holds it's own very well. I would keep the turbo wheels and put some r spec tyres on them. Also pm me about some tweeks to make them a bit more Elise like, as always all these cars are set to kill your outer edge when driven a bit harder and under steer, I did not really notice last year as tended not to push very hard and also only did 1k miles last summer. But this year started to use the car a bit more and also added the R and both were starting to get a bit frustrating when pushed. I run race maxx on the Spyder full time now, and pilot sports on the R. Both my cars are night and better now with a few tweeks and better tyres. So much so I go out every night for a drive :)

Thanks. Will look into Silverstone, based in Surrey so not to far.

Couple of questions on the Spyder for you guys, 1.Why does it have a spoiler lift button when it's a fixed item? 2.Can I replace/spray the steering wheel centre with black as its currently grey? 3. eBay/halfords for aero wipers? 4. Apart from Porsche where can I find the alacantara gear knob and gaiter? Thanks in advance

Lazyness, I had mine taken out when I had sports mode retro fitted. Yes you can clip it off and paint it, was thinking about doing mine also in white. eBay about a Tenner. Stay with the OPC, shocking they are cheaper than any one else regarding others who punt porsche stuff. I buy most stuff OPC and it's cheaper, just ask for discount. You can also Import parts from suncoast Porsche parts USA

I do believe that is new Spyderman No.5 since this forum started up but await confirmation from Prof flat6 [;)]

Especially for you guys who like the Red interior.[;)] How about this - £45K two week ago - look now![8|] http://www2.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201305297000946/sort/default/usedcars/model/boxster/make/porsche/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/keywords/spyder/postcode/cb45bx/radius/1500/page/2?logcode=p

It was actually £43990.00[:D] If he read our forum he would realise wrong wheels, wrong gears, wrong chairs, wrong colour interior makes this car almost unsaleable today at any price [&o] It will take a very brave Spyderman to buy this example at even £35k due to low mileage IMO

I should have known the price as this was the one I phoned[;)] The salesman thought all the extras (including the wheels) made it more desirable[&o] Paint the wheel white I say - then you have the perfect Wedding car[;)]
