ORIGINAL: VvrooomM Had an email stating a private message had been sent but strangely cannot find the messages section on the PCGB site anywhere??? Maybe its because I'm using an iPhone and mobile version. The mail suggested the question was about which aero wipers I'd bought. I didn't buy Bosch just generic ones off eBay. They look miles better and perform absolutely fine, how they will last is another matter!! Probably invalidates my warranty too so kept the old ones to swop back if necessary. Think the poster was called James so hope he finds his answer here.
Hi, Was me, thanks for the reply. Did you go for 22" on both sides? Thanks
That rings a bell, they were under a tenner delivered and were same size both sides. Listed Boxster 987 in title.

Having noticed this threads massive amount of posts, feel i need to jump on the bandwagon so to speak. I own a 981 cayman s (pick up tomorrow!!) am i deemed 'one of those roof guys' ? :D

You are very welcome here and look forward to reading the joy of owning a new 981 even if it is the hard top version [&o]

Welcome in Kg[:)] We're not too fussy here. We love our Spyders here but we can only gain a true perspective by comparing it to related machines. There's also a lot of 981 interest too either because some of us are dreaming of a 981 Spyder (which may never come) or we just like hear how the 987 stands up against the 981 and the roof matters not in that regard. Or, we just talk about Porsche's in general[:)] MrDemon on here owns both a Spyder and Cayman R (lucky so and so!) so you're in good company here. I used to own a Cayman S and only switched to open top because the Spyder is what it is, and i've not been ejected yet for preferring coupe's[:D]

Haha cheers Daro, i drove the boxster s, loved it! Just where i live, not the ideal place as roofs have been torn before! I have pics up etc on the Cayman section, will also be starting a threead about my racing career!

Thanks Brian. I think that is a good idea about that logo and T-shirts but, it is the copyrighted piece, so we'd get in trouble[] I've just had a look at page 79 now you've mentioned it. How badly did it get you?[X(]

I got that message too. A picture from "photosofcar.com", a known malware distributor! Not a site I've ever used - I only ever upload photos from my own photobucket account! Can't believe I only made it to #3 on the list - it should be in chronological order and I got mine on 23/05/2010! I might just have to put a better picture up too, it doesn't normally have ribbons on it! Other than that, great work [:D]

Thanks Rob. I've just been on my tablet and grabbed it. Hopefully I got out unscathed! You should post your preferred pic & i'll use it as I will be using this roll-up again in the future when the team grows again. You'll wanting them in VIN order next![:D]
ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Normal service has been resumed. Spyder is back, as is the large grin on my face! Had to clean Bolton's 981 for them, it needed a bit of love! At 2400 miles it was similar to the Spyder for stone chips but my Spyder has done nearly 6 times the mileage. Anyone who likes a 987 would find it hard not to be seriously impressed by the new car. I was a bit unimpressed with its fuel economy and re-set the computer as I pulled on the motorway taking it back this morning. At a steady indicated 80mph cruise and then a couple of miles of 50mph dual carriageway before arriving, it did 32mpg which was a bit better. Then after lusting over the 996 GT3RS currently taking pride of place in the showroom I drove back in the Spyder. I tried replicating the 80 lepton cruise - 28 mpg indicated - but the M61 was empty and I had the roof down and frankly I got a bit bored. I have to say, Rob was right, I have come home grinning like a Cheshire Cat! As my neighbour would say about his 3.2 Carrera, you can drive over a packet of crisps and tell what flavour they are, the steering feel is so good! 981 looks good on the drive:

The Power Of The Spydermans Web..... Awesome[:D]

"Red Bull driver Mark Webber has decided to leave F1 at the end of this season. " never did any thing exciting any way even in the best years/cars. But as you will see he is to be a Porsche driver in Le mans 2014.
