Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

does anyone want to be no. 2 in F1 ? he screwed Vettel a few times, and the other day he was racing to win, but Vettel wanted the win more. I bet Redbull will thank Vettel if they only win by a few points that he DID overtake webber a few races ago. any way F1 is all about money and has not been great the last 10 years anyway. It safe boring racing, all the harder circuits have been made safer and easier, it's all about ticket sales at big locations these days. Watch 10 minutes on the TT and you see the real racers, and even watching makes your heart beat faster and even shout out loud in shock :) Porsche for the main win 2014 ? as a new page pic ?

I hope so as Audi have made this classic event into a very boring predictable spectacle for far too long now[&o]

ORIGINAL: daro911 What's the view on the latest "platinum" finish alloys when applied to the Spyder
cannot make my mind up. I still don't like Black Spyders anyway lol I like the newer high power smooth silver finish on the new 981 cars over the older finish. platinum looks good on the right colours, not good on black cars though. (well on red cars with no black graphics)

agree, mine has the black finish though on the R lol might get the Spyder wheels redone over winter in the high gloss finish though as they have a few chips

Don't let Rob see this photo he will have kittens ...crest to valve [;)] I like the shinny look as the silver/ grey on ours is a bit bland .

I have been quoted from £120.00 per corner to £200 per corner [] but must add when I was looking at the wheels the other week in my OPC showroom I had been told this finish unfortunately highlights any casting imperfections and also can be very orange peely both these claims do appear to be true

You're not wrong [:D] "Platinum" wheels just look like mine do after a track day when they need cleaning on that photo. Webber will be good for Porsche at Le Mans, multiple victories await!

Early car - March 2010. Almost identical spec to mine but with flat6's wheels. Interesting advert appeared when I followed the link - approved used Porsche advert with video of, you guessed it, a nice white Spyder!

Try this guy (Roger Bracewell), very good, absolute perfectionist, used to work for F1 teams. Had mine done there and very pleased, although he'll tell you not to expect them back in a couple of days as he reckons it takes a lot longer to do a proper job. http://www.thewheelrestorer.co.uk/home.html

ORIGINAL: kitchens As to the seagulls .....all i can say thank god cows don't fly [:D][:D] ...not nice on alcantara [:'(][:'(]
Sounds pretty gruesome. I suppose if the roof was on it'd be equally difficult getting it off the roof fabric[X(]

ORIGINAL: kitchens Flat 6 Excellent preview of past posts ,a lot has happened in the 5 days i have been away nice to catch up with the Spydermen . I like the logo perhaps we could get a group buy and get tee shirts made up mine is an XL [:D]. Nice to see we made the front cover of PP and all the other associated pictures and articles ,did you read my adventures with a seagull page 79 Fish and Chips Run [:'(]. Dr Demon Going to a club event on Wed to a garage that do Geometry settings and was thinking of booking it in for a check .How do they know what setting to make my car ,do i say what i want or is it standard settings .I have asked this question before should i get the wheels swapped over at the same time . Another RED car i see for sale hope it goes quick !! Brian
Hi Brian I cant answer your question about swapping the wheels over but i'm curious about what you mean and why? I'm thinking, directional tyres with a defined outer side. Different tyre sizes front to rear. What would you swap over & why? Excuse my ignorance if it's obvious[8|]

What i mean is swap the front right to the front left and visa versa and do the same with the rears .That is providing the tyres are not directional. As to the geo not sure what the settings should be that is why i asked Dr Demon as he seems to be into this having had his done .

I just had zero toe at the front and as much neg front camber as possible that will be between -1 and -1.2 back as factory still and I fitted front spacers on the R but like it so will fit front spacers to the Spyder also.
