It is the only low mileage manual[]ORIGINAL: flat6I have no idea what Cayman R's are on the market daro. What makes this one the pick of the bunch in your opinion.ORIGINAL: daro911 If you want a manual this is about the best one out there today http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201306267491963/sort/default/usedcars/price-from/35000/price-to/75000/model/cayman/make/porsche/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/page/1/keywords/R/postcode/e95lw/radius/1501/advert-type/standard-listing?logcode=ucnnp If you want an auto the choice is far greater[/color]

yes poor advert for that car, but it does have a leather dash MY spec and it was 7k miles and 45k with no extra warranty :-( got 1k off it for not taking the 2 years extra, but it's still in warranty till 2014 anyway. AC BOSE PCM SS PSE Sports mode Buckets Leather full Spyder wheels It does not have cup holders which is odd on a speced up car and I would have liked them as I would have liked xenons but xenons seem rare to get. again for me Spyder wheels, bucket seats and AC are future resale killers if they are missing on a R, then most want PSE, PCM, on top of that and imo as I said Full leather lifts it, for a 60k car over plastic and a must have for me. PDK seems less an issue, but I am sure manual is the way forward on these also and not many manual cars to choose from, as people seem to be keeping them. And nice in red, but no red ones for sale ever !!
Thanks. I asked this question a while ago, with no response.....I always assumed a Spyder was 1300kg with fuel in the real world. Is it just me who thinks that's actually quite lardy? []ORIGINAL: Fire_2 Would be interested to see the weight difference in the spyder to cayman R, Recently met a manual owner with no a/c at brands and he's came in at 1298kg (no roof) While mine with a/c and heavy pdk was 1352kg with roof ect road trim.
Checkout that info plus loads more here http://fastestlaps.com/cars/porsche_cayman_r.html CURB WEIGHT 1320 kg http://fastestlaps.com/cars/porsche_boxster_spyder.html CURB WEIGHT 1275kgORIGINAL: clubsport I always assumed a Spyder was 1300kg with fuel in the real world. Not when Lotus put out the new Evora S at 1,440kg odd and a 370z is 1,470kg then sub 1,300 seems quite light in todays world of safety and stuff.ORIGINAL: clubsportThanks. That spec would be great for me, the only things as you mention are PCM/Sat Nav, PSE and not sure what "SS" is [8|]ORIGINAL: MrDemon yes poor advert for that car, but it does have a leather dash MY spec and it was 7k miles and 45k with no extra warranty :-( got 1k off it for not taking the 2 years extra, but it's still in warranty till 2014 anyway. Andy, you're right about comprimising but what are your 3 (or more) must have items?ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan not too bothered about full leather but it would be nice. I quite like the colour but I wonder if in 5 - 10 years time we might say "Did we actually let that happen?" [] I don't believe that the perfect car will ever come along and some compromises will be inevitable.
I got the first car though []
Very hard to just name 3, but these are the 3 un-fixable easily options:- Sport seats, A/C, PCM/Sat Nav. The other important bits can be easily/reasonably retro fittedORIGINAL: flat6Andy, you're right about comprimising but what are your 3 (or more) must have items?ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan not too bothered about full leather but it would be nice. Hey! I only weigh 75Kg! Thanks for the ride round on Sunday David. []ORIGINAL: MrDemon I can easy tell carrying my other half about at 56kg and on track with a 80KG person is a massive change.
OK, that combination should come up. Manual only? Or will PDK be entertained?ORIGINAL: Andy FaganVery hard to just name 3, but these are the 3 un-fixable easily options:- Bucket seats, A/C, PCM/Sat Nav.
