Not our Baaaaabara!! []
Shaun the sheep was nearly shorn of life!!! Nice peddling Andy, your new wheels are fab.ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Not our Baaaaabara!! []
Heavy motorway traffic on the way home ended up with Spyder doing 26.1 mpg door to door. Remarkable really.ORIGINAL: daro911 In reality, the 458 humbled the Spyder on all levels One level you weren't humbled on would be £ for £ value and mpg [] But I do know what you mean []
Wow!! I used 1/2 a tank, didn't look at the computer
Thanks, I'm really pleased with itORIGINAL: rob.kellockShaun the sheep was nearly shorn of life!!! Nice peddling Andy, your new wheels are fab.ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Not our Baaaaabara!! []
I'd reset it when I filled it up yesterday evening. Glad you like it - like I said, it looks really well on the road. Would Have taken a picture but it was hard enough keeping you within the horizon!! And Cecil's lad had my camera!
Haha it was great morning, My friend Steve and I really enjoyed it and the weather wasn't too badORIGINAL: rob.kellock I'd reset it when I filled it up yesterday evening. Not as sunny as when Cecil and I first went.
I think you have answered your own question. Some would say wrong gearbox, wrong wheels and wrong colour. All are a matter for personal taste!
As Rob say its all a question of taste! Shirley's have had this car a while now and I would suspect the wheels could well be holding it back! If everything else suits your taste ask them to put the correct wheels on it or make a cash adjustment! Someone on here will be able to tell you the cost of wheels. Edited to add cost of wheels - as per Andy Fagans post They are about 4K with tyres and surprisingly more expensive without tyresORIGINAL: H14PDB I have a question for you Spyder owners. What is wrong with car at Shirley's Garage. I know wheels are not right and some people will discard it because it is PDK but ..... Not many about apart from this one .....
An Aqua blue PDK example with the Spyder wheels but black side stripe instead of silver sold in the early summer for £2k more than the seller had paid 911V 5 months and 500 miles earlier! Many would have said that colour, side stripe and gearbox were wrong but it sold and PDQ As Rob said all a matter of personal taste and as far as the wheels go a friend of mine who was pondering a Spyder liked that car because of the wheels[&o]ORIGINAL: H14PDB I have a question for you Spyder owners. Yes - a great fun drive out! Andy's 'R does certainly go well; very well! There are a number of lines on the Ferraris trip display, max mph being one of them (worryingly!), but for some reason no mpg! I've no idea what it does - just loads of smiles per gallon is better reference! Graham
Joking aside, that would have finished me off psychologically for the day if it had happened to me[] Glad you managed to come away unscathed. I'm late to the conversation as usual[&o]. []Was a great drive with a great bunch of guys. My son really enjoyed it too. John, I told him to save his money and just the buy the Spyder off me when he's older. It was his favourite car but he's moved onto bigger and better things with the GT3 RS. However, he did say yesterday after seeing Andy's that he'll start with a Cayman R before moving on to a GT3 RS[]. Once we got onto the twisties and put the 'R' in front, I was concentrating on the back of Rob's Spyder and the next time I looked up there was a white spec in the distance. My son was impressed with the 'R' driver [] Held off the Fezza through the twisties but I think that was partly with the help of a barrage of stones my rear tyres were firing at it. We turned on to the straighter section and I waved the monster through[] no stones on that section to help me keep him backed off[] My pics are pretty much the same Rob. Here's most of them. Did any shots come out in the door mirror with a 'R' in view? OK, OK, that was before we got started[]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock I ever see that sheep again that nearly finished us both off, I hope it will be with a side serving of roasties and mint sauce.
Smiles per gallon is the best measure Graham[] Oh, and after picking the GT3 RS, he then got a taste in your 458. On the way home he was picking a colour for your next one. He also says red or yellow would be best for a Ferrari[] We're not helping him, his expensive tastes keep rising[] His favourite car in his garage on GT5 is the 458. He's painted it yellow and spent loads on modifying it. I'll get online and show him the real version of his 'virtual' car - The Speciale []
