It's not so much the 4 chair itch as the 2 chair with a roof itch - give me a G.... Give me a T... I'm sure Rob has linked to the rude boy Spyder before but there are too many pages to check now! IIRC it was mechanically unfettled?

I think you recall correctly. We'll have to do a 'best bits' and stick all the links in one post[]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock I'm sure Rob has linked to the rude boy Spyder before but there are too many pages to check now! IIRC it was mechanically unfettled?
You'll be wanting to see how this transfers to the road then[] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8TakwDPrRI I like my Boxster hardcore, but if I do go for the 'legend' I want 4 chairs and comfort. Well, I haven't driven either. Will at some point, but just found this. They really can't be compared can they? http://blogs.edmunds.com/karl/2010/04/face-off-porsche-911-gt3-vs-porsche-911-turbo.htmlORIGINAL: rob.kellock It's not so much the 4 chair itch as the 2 chair with a roof itch - give me a G.... Excellent videos there flat6 nice find indeed I have discovered from some quick research around the "Used Car Locators" for Euroland and USA the OPC in the UK seem to be the bargain basement prices currently compared to the rest! Wow!! I see what you mean! Just across the way in France there's one for €69.800!! Well spotted. Do you think the desirability in the UK will catch up? In lieu of OEM sports exhaust? Will it go faster? Looks nice and clean under there!
Good finds flat6. I've driven a 997 GT3RS - on the low friction circuit at the PEC Silverstone. Just sitting in it, starting it up, pressing the manly clutch and putting it in first gear is enough to create WANT. My Spyder has never been the same since but I'm getting over it slowly...
Not my car Rob. An attempt at humour back at flat 6's track comment []. There 350bhp Spyder looks like something you and flat6 could consider as a Christmas present to yourselves [] My Spyder does have the spotless underside look thoughORIGINAL: rob.kellock In lieu of OEM sports exhaust? Phew, for a moment I thought your car was being modded! I mean, we'd have been polite to you and all that but a non OEM Spyder could lead to flat6 giving you your marching orders from the thread []
Fortunately for my wallet I am a stickler for originality at all times but especially with a limited edition potential future classic collectors car [8|] Nice to see the car being taken to its full potential with the claimed 350bhp [8D]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Phew, for a moment I thought your car was being modded! Karma in the Spyder universe has been restored []
Ah OK. Did you drive it on the handling circuit as well? If I can bring myself to spend the money I should go and do this one at PEC. http://www.porsche.com/silverstone/en/experience/porschedrivingexperience/evolutionrs/ But then as you say, i'll be wanting that power when back in the Spyder [X(]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Good finds flat6. It's not the power, it's the engine, the package... Trust me, avoid them like the plague if you want to keep enjoying your Spyder!
Ah I see what you mean[]. I had heard that whilst the Spyder is sharp, the GT3 RS is all round raw. Spydermen as much as you may aspire to owning the GT3 come a beautiful warm sunny day which set of keys would you rather pick up [8D] A dilemma for one ex GT3 RS owner who happily traded power and race pedigree to become the first customer Spyder ever delivered back in early 2010 and only recently sold this summer [8D] From Post 313 [] [link=http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/showProfile.asp?memid=975]Andrew Killington[/link] Hi Cecil and all 'twas me who went from Spyder to Spider. IMHO the Spyder is THE complete sports car package, a fantastic achievement. The 430 of course has its own charm, namely the engine and the noise and IMO has very forgiving neutral handling with a crisp turn-in and little understeer. The F1 although getting on in years is a gearbox well suited to the car and has converted me to that technology. Unlike the Spyder the 430 has more shake (not bad) but wasn't designed as a roadster unlike the Spyder. I was able to scratch the F car itch and am pleased to have done so. For me it says a lot that I traded a Gt3 RS for a boxster and with the Spyder you do IMO get a genuine pure exhilRTing sports car experience. Regards to all
Spot on to recall AK's experience. Also, remember this old one from page 1. Can't recall all what it says - information overload[] but the penultimate paragraph at the end is worth a read. http://www.germancarforum.com/community/threads/the-purest-porsches-gt3-rs-vs-boxster-spyder.36639/ORIGINAL: daro911 Spydermen as much as you may aspire to owning the GT3 come a beautiful warm sunny day which set of keys would you rather pick up [8D]  A dilemma for one ex GT3 RS owner who happily traded power and race pedigree to become the first customer Spyder ever delivered back in early 2010 and only recently sold this summer [8D]  From Post 313 [] [link=http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/showProfile.asp?memid=975]Andrew Killington[/link] Hi Cecil and all 'twas me who went from Spyder to Spider. Rob, from black/brown to blue/red[]. I was trying to track down the blue/red Spyder i'd seen before and found some pics and threads. http://www.dspyda.com/Owner_Profiles/Pages/z356.html#6 http://www.dspyda.com/Owner_Profiles/Pages/z356.html#13 http://www.dspyda.com/Owner_Profiles/Pages/z356.html#20 Here's the owner's tale. Have only read the initial post. No time to read the rest! http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/987-981-forum/654447-my-aqua-blue-metallic-carrera-red-12-spyder-tale-of-a-custom-order.html And now it looks like he wants his wife to think he's selling it but I reckon he wants to keep it, given the asking price![] Again, i've only read the initial post. http://teamspeed.com/forums/automobiles/71457-2012-boxster-spyder-attractive-options-unusual-color-combo.htmlORIGINAL: rob.kellock [link]http://www.rennteam.com/forum/page1.html?vs=1#PostDetailsTitlePortlet[/link] There's a current thread on there too - much talk of currently undervalued collector's future classic. That brown interior was a bit much for me - too luxury for a Spyder, went against the ethos of the car. Now the old blue car, that oozes cool.
If that was RHD I would willingly pay a premium []  I think he will regret selling that beauty if he is successful with his $87K asking price  He has much cheaper competition so looks like his wont be going anywhere fast [] http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/searchresults.xhtml?zip=32819&endYear=2012&keywordPhrases=Spyder&modelCode1=BOXSTE&keywords=+Spyder+&startYear=2011&makeCode1=POR&sellerTypes=b&numRecords=25&searchRadius=0&bodyStyleCodes=CONVERT&showcaseOwnerId=54381583&captureSearch=true&Log=0
