ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Well there are only 3 Cayman R's at the OPC's and they're all PDK [;)]
You can make that only TWO today[;)]
Now just one[:)] So, only 1 Spyder and 1 R left. Which will go first. It's a race to the bottom to become extinct [:D]

You have a great record of the market Daro. I'd say you've had the valuations spot on too whenever we've discussed Spyders offline. Anyone selling or buying a Spyder should give Spyder-evaluator aka daro911 a call [:)] What he says you will get for your car you will get. Whatever he says you should pay for a car you should pay[8D]

flat6 Your commission cheque is in the post :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: The most interesting month was 02/05/13 when there were many Spyders looking for new homes and these were priced as follows:-

[:D] Ah yes, back then the odd car would come up at a steal price. Compared to the others, that Solihull car must've been a bargain regardless of spec, assuming its condition at 9,900 miles was OK. Do you have a snapshot for a similar period in 2012?

My monitoring only kicked off in July 2012 so I shall post them up on the anniversary if you can wait:ROFLMAO: [&o]

Just in case you've not seen it yet, there's a bit of Spyder love going on on Pistonheads at the moment (in the £110k Garage item on the front page).

Posted for future reference long after the article is filed forever [:D] Porsche Boxster Spyder Cost: £41,950 Balance: £17,745 Why I chose it: "I went into the classifieds looking for a 996 GT3 both because I love them and they've got to be a safe residual bet. But aside from a Comfort spec second-gen 996 there's precisely zip in the ads right now. And if I'm going for a GT3 I want a proper one, with the half cage Clubsport goodness. 997s would have blown the budget in one go. What to do? Then a lightbulb moment. The Boxster Spyder is, to my mind, one of the best modern-day Porsches built with a GT3 sharpness to its manners, the same kind of focused, minimalist mentality and a pitch-perfect performance/handling balance more relevant to both real world road and track. I also like the one in the eye aspect to those snobs who reckon a Boxster isn't a proper Porsche. This one is and ticks all the boxes of rarity, focus and a sense of the exotic. Sure, the roof is a gesture at best. But I'm a pretty militant roadster driver anyway and unless it's absolutely teeming down I'm not bothered. Wear a hat. And just go faster. This one looks perfect too - it's a manual and though white wouldn't be my first choice with the wheels refurbed to black it'd be pretty much my perfect Porsche."

Going into hibernation for a while, just sold my Spyder without even advertising it, just the mention in here. Its gone to the friend of ClubSport. Nice friendly transaction, hope he thoroughly enjoys driving it. First time I knew what one sounded like from outside was as it drove away, disappeared with a pop and a crackle. Sounded good. [8|]

First time poster here, so hi [:)] There's a rather tidy looking red one popped up on PH today http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/boxster-987-05-12/porsche-boxster-987-gen-ii-spyder------------------2011/2249445 Does anyone know if the dials are always colour-coded or was this an option?

ORIGINAL: Mayhem911 Well done Graham! Still a sad day though , I am sure!! Who said pdk's would never sell??
they do sell, people just don't keep em that's all :) all the ones selling up seem to be PDK owners !

buy it NOW that will not last long imo. love it in red.

Welcome Yod[:)] Are you looking to buy one? The dials were default black on the Spyder, unlike the standard Boxster. To have them in Carrara White or Guards Red was a £332 option! And if you had the Sport Chrono dial that's a separate £235 option if you want to change its colour to match!
