Bit OTT for me TBH. Gulf blue Boxster is currently up for sale. Chester OPC have an orange one too.

Interesting times...
Orange is a great colour, it was either a chrome orange Elise/Exige or the Spyder for my fun car. But having already owned a mk2 Elise and Exige the Spyder won. I still change my mind after a year which is the better car, the R or the Spyder. Def the best 2 cars this side of 100k. Although if money were to fall into my pocket I do love the new lambo and for speed alone the macca 650s neither of which would drive as well as mine though, but would exite in other ways. I often look at the r8 V10 plus dsg cars and think, mmmmmm sell both to get one. It is at least usable every day all year round. Think I have ruled out buying a f430 just because I need a nice car to add 10k miles on a year. Not driving a shit car for 95% of the miles I do just to enjoy a car for 5%
I hear you. £70+K is a lot of money for a 340HP sports car, not matter how good the fit and finish and build quality. You can buy some serious metal for that and spending it on a current Boxster / Cayman doesn't feel like you get much bang for your buck. For me a Porsche should be more about substance than show and there's just too much cost in optioning on the trimmings and not enough in the performance. If they produced a Boxster /Cayman with a 911 performance and a 911 price tag, at least people could choose whether they want their performance in a mid-engined package or a rear engined package. But if I was in the market for spending £60+K on a brand new 981 I would be torn between buying an S within my budget but then not having the bragging rights of having the top model (no I don't brag but hopefully you know what I mean). But then the having the top model might be a stretch outside the original budget by the time you add your options to the bundled options. So do you get the S or tap into your rainy day money, just to get the GTS.
