Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I don't think he will fit in one :) have a sexy rear R pic for the page.

Cheeky bastid! I fitted in one on Sunday... Got someone potentially interested in mine (another Notts chap!) but I'll have to wait 12 months for the 4C. I've narrowed down to another Exige or the Alfa, it's just the final decision as to sell the Spyder now or wait 6 months.

I haven't a clue what to ask for it - going to speak to a few people first. Looking at the one 911V have for sale for £40k - mine is manual with Spyder wheels and sports seats, but theirs has buckets, pdk and turbo wheels. Substitute one thing for another?

Not everyone gets an erection for buckets. Nice as they are, for some they are just not a viable option. Would say your main difference is dealer vs private sale?

Given you've got a combination that appears to be more desirable than most i.e. white; spyder wheels; manual and there's no other car for sale today that has that combination, I think you've every chance of getting north of £40k. There's four black cars for sale £30k (cat D) - £43k; if you were in the market for black you'd surely go for one of these One red car at £40k that looks desirable but maybe red isn't the colour of choice for those that will wait Three white cars £40k - £44k; only one manual at £42,900 (JZM) and it's missing spyder wheels; other two PDK, one with non spyder wheels and one with a garish interior For someone waiting for what you have you've got a good chance of getting very good money for it (subject to the normal caveats around condition; mileage; service; bal of warranty).

The warranty runs out in August, condition is very good. Wheels are unmarked as is the interior. Service not due until August 2015

I'm not going to advertise it - don't have the time tbh. If I come to an agreeable price with the chap interested, and if indeed he wants my car, then all well and good. If an Exige comes up at a dealer in the meantime then I'll just px it.

Oh yes - 15k. Had the car from new. Supplied by Leicester and they carried out the 1st service and fitted the short shift.

The white Spyder (PDK, Turbo II wheels, sports seats = worthless) that I see in the City is back, presumably from winter hibernation. It now sports an "02" private plate but I think it's the same car. Still a rare sight on the roads!

i often consider selling mine as i just dont use it currently on 2600 miles,it was one of the very last to be built ie rare 2012 model year, imho great spec.,owned fron new serviced early after running in etc etc so if i was to go to market i would be looking at circa £47k as a fair price after seeing what opc are asking for cars up to 15 months older, higher miles and multi owner. so zyp if your car is a mid to high chassis number(and not one of these cars that were registered a year after leaving the factory) why not try £42-3k i think the seats/gearbox are a buyers personal choice but the spyder wheels a must

Yeah right [:D]. Don't feed him! Very very few private buyers will pay OPC money for a car that doesn't have 2 years warranty, easy finance, guaranteed minimum tread on the tyres, minimum standards for brake discs and pads, paintwork etc, loads of come back, posh coffee, massaged ego and a day at the PEC. Then factor in 20% VAT on the difference between sale and purchase price for the dealer. To make nothing they have to add quite a few £££. Will watch Spyder prices and weep from the sidelines for now. Who knows where they will go in the medium term - if they carry on as they are they will be worth more than they cost new within 4 years of release which is astonishing and may well be unsustainable?

When i visited an OPC to look at buying a Spyder I thought the coffee was poor. However I did like that they fed me a KitKat and made a young girl deliver it on a plate.

My how time flys this was made in 2009[8D] http://www.carscoops.com/2009/12/video-porsche-new-320hp-boxster-spyder.html
