Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

ORIGINAL: tyinsky Really puzzled as to why they have wired the electronics like this. Off should mean off! They are sports cars, and especially with the Cayman R they were destined for track days!
I think you partly answered your own question there. It is because people (Often for the 1st time) take them on track. Mr D there is a much easier way to get rid of it completely but I'm not broadcasting it on here [;)]

Good morning Spydermen! Well my Spyder has finally been on tour! A nice long weekend touring Brittany with 13 other cars and I must say the Spyder was very impressive when I had a chance to stretch it's legs (and I mean really stretch its legs [;)] ) and it didn't miss a beat. We sought out some nice quiet twisty roads and when pushing on it really punched above its weight in a group including Ferrari's, Astons and a GT3. We rolled up our drive last night having put just over 2K miles on the car over 5 days and we've currently added about 5kg's of road grime, dirt and bugs to the car! A little photo of the tour outside the motor museum at Loheac, a must see collection if you are ever in the area.

PS the roof was off all the time we were driving!

That is some serious topless mileage in 5 days .... Top SpyderMan I think you may have just set a record for quickest ever 2k miles in a Spyder[:D]

Yes, it's not going to be a low mileage car when I move it on! I've also got Le Mans Classic and a Pyrenees trip planned for the year. I'm sure that sort of mileage will send a shiver down the spine to some owners [:D]

actually if you look at the vin its a rare 2012 model year so would have left the factory circa july 2011 so over a 1000 digits higher

Really! I am surprised you say that as it was designed to be topless and IMO that's how it looks it's very best topless and certainly feels most alive

he has a roof fetish, and out of every one here loves it. the rest of use make do with it and would rather it off :) I use it for what it IS for a sun shade, so if it is over 30oc then I might have to protect myself from the sun. In the UK that's has not happened yet.......

I like it with the roof down better. I also think the Spyders appearance is better with the windows down when the sun cap is off!

One of a few fetishes. Roof on, that rear section left out, windows down. Stunning looking car. Roof off, too much attention, hair like Sir Bobby Charlton in a storm.

Might be wrong but that was possibly the other car I looked at when I bought my silver one. Red dials clashed for me and despite all the other options, they had forgotten to tick climate. Please don't turn this into a debate about whether it's required but I thought this was an odd omission for optioned up car. Wrong wheels obviously. The price was identical two years ago.
