Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

ORIGINAL: ted walker How much are the Alcantara steering wheels for a Spyder ???? I quite like the look and feel of them
£902 incl VAT sounds similar price as an OPC would charge before haggling :ROFLMAO: http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod126212/Porsche-987-Steering-Wheel-3-spoke-Sport-for-Manual-Cars/

Get your original re-trimmed for a lot less than a new one.

but the design of the Spyder one is rank. The Sports design wheel looks far nicer ie in the Cayman R, 911 GTS and GT3 RS4.0

Have the alcantara steering wheel in mine but it is the horrible looking standard one,I to would like the sport design in alcantara as it looks so much better!

£600 from suncoast in US then £150 to have it covered in matching alcantara with a red band at the top as on GT3. With red stitching if you wish. I have one ther ready for collection when my sister goes on her jolly holls in september. Saves on postage and import duty. Cant wait to get it on the car. Only issue is is it the same horn push and air bag for both styles of wheel

ORIGINAL: philnotts99 Maybe it sold, viewing took place and he/she pulled out due to the condition :/ !?
philnotts99 is today your BIG day / weekend bonding with the new addition[8D] It certainly is looking like a topless weekend for Spyders

Not today! Tomorrow morning though 8:30am!! Going to be sunny so may as well get the top off for the day! Rain on Sunday though :( Just going off track slightly.... Has anyone here painted there garage walls and floor? I think my Spyder deserves a nice place to be.. Currently i have concrete floor and breezeblock walls. Any ideas, tips, materials, pics would be much appreciated!!

I have a carpet floor, just old cut offs, but painted walls, just normal white paint, but the main thing having a door opening buffer on the wall, ( single garage)

Nothing exotic used here white painted brick walls and red concrete floor paint all off the shelf at your local DIY stores[;)] Shower cap on to show someone who enquired way back [:D][:D] also off the shelf £40 for those days when you just aren't 100% sure a shower isn't going to occur and it's fitted literally in seconds just in case[]

Carpet tiles best - go to local carpet shop - ask them next time they remove/replace old office carpet tiles could you give them a 'drink' for them[;)] Easily laid with a squirt of Spray glue. Walls - mine are brick but painted with Dulux Trade Emulsion

Breezeblock may need sealing with a PVA prior to painting. Take a look at:- http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/Gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=207&t=1162470&nmt=Help+-+Painting+Concrete+Blocks+-+Garage+Interior or http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_7714694_paint-breeze-block-walls.html lots of help on google

Mine are breezeblock and I just painted them with white emulsion using a roller - two coats, no problem!

I have seen that the breezeblocks like to soak up the paint and its quite hard to get a good covering on them. Did anyone treat or clean the walls before applying the paint?
