Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

In 2011 I went on a 10 day trip Atlanta, Spartanburg BMW plant, through the Smokies to Knoxville to visit friends, Charlotte for the Coca Cola 600, then on to Charleston to recover and back to Atlanta, all in a Cadillac SRX, comfortable for the distance I travelled but not light on its feet..

Along with the NASCAR race, the Dragon was a highlight. You will have seen that trucks have been a real problem

but will apparently be banned from mid-January 2015. When I got to the bottom, I went into the large parking area in my huge SUV and had great difficulty executing a 95 point turn to get out without hitting any of the 100’s of motorbikes whilst 100’s of bikers unhelpfully just looked on to see whether I would knock any bikes over. Having seen this later in Charleston, I reflected on my parking experience...

Enjoy the trip..

Someone pulled alongside me and enquires how cold was I [:D] I said heated seats wind deflector and heater set to 26' I was more comfortable than topless motoring on a very hot summers days when the air con would be needed to make it more pleasant. Not sure he believed me[8D]

Values are certainly going up, given these increased asking prices alongside increased mileage Being experienced sellers of Spyders as these OPCs are, they'll know that they're not seasonally price sensitive like many roadsters Will be interesting to see how quickly these sell as the prices are quite bold for 30 & 40k milers and will they stick out for a buy price close to asking price. I personally wouldn't buy a 30k mile Spyder for £42K, nor would want the wear and tear of someone else's 45k miles, but my opinion doesn't count; it's the market that dictates. The 987 Spyder market certainly looks strong to hold its own should there be a 981 which will probably cost considerably more new and used and hence not directly compete.
