Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

ORIGINAL: daro911
ORIGINAL: Boxster7 Nice work Daro So which is your favourite ??
Yellow: White(s) Rhodium:[8D]
Do you think you might go Yellow ! The GT4 does look awesome in Yellow, as do all the GT3's in all the bright colours IMO. But should the Spyder be more classic as most were in last Gen ? Would a bright yellow affect re sale values later ?? Yellow with Black / yellow stitch and trims would look great though [:)]

I'm guessing PTS isn't going to be an option for us eh ! But the Voodoo or Riviera Blue would be on my list too.

Question for the car cleaners out there... Has anyone used Gtechniq C5 on there alloys? Also do you use a quick alloy cleaner spray along side this? Thanks, Phil

The Satin Black a complete doddle to keep looking clean even when they are not [:D]but I do like the bright shiny silver stock look too [&o]

I have been using Gtechniq C5 on my wheels for about 6 months and the dust just washes off absolutely brilliant, using no cleaners. very expensive here in Australia like $170 for 500ml

Looked at both cars, I think the black wheels go better as all script is black, exhaust is black and trim black so tends to look more tidy. Should not be thinking of colours as I had decided to be boring and go for Carrara White.

Why Carrera White as opposed to flat white I have a flat white Spyder & Audi Metallic White Q3 and parked side by side they both look like flat white![&o]

You're messing with my head to...... I also had pretty such opted for Carrera white, but now many many questions again [&o][&o][&o] Been to the OPC again this morning and seen a Boxster GTS in Carmine Red... really love that colour, but doesn't look like thats an option for us ! So is it Classic option - White (don't fancy blacks or Silvers) Or is it Brave option - Red, Yellow or Blue Does anyone know which whites were available for the 987 Spyder ??? Cheers

I spent an hour wandering in OPC compound checking colours and there was flat white next to Carrara white and the metallic looked brighter and sharper colour. Also have present car in flat white so wanted some small change.

987 was a Flat White which they called Carrera White - Then to confuse things more the 981 was launched in white (flat and no name) or Metallic White which is now called Carrera White[&o] Why Porsche had to change the name of flat Carrera white to "white" = madness imo

My 1/43rd arrived yesterday and is awaiting collection. In the meantime please can you figure out the difference in the size of 987 1/43rd humps and the 981's [:D]

987 carrera white is not the same as 981 flat white. 987 carrera white is a slightly creamier white and 981 flat white is a much sharper cooler bright white. when seeing my spyder in carrera white next to a 981 GTS in flat white (i was lent by Bolton OPC whilst my car was in for service) i could easily see a big difference in the colours. i have not seen 981 carrera white metalic as yet but do not like 981 flat white, just too bright and sharpe for me.

In that case maybe 981 Carrera White is a metallic version/shade of our flat original Carrera White [;)]
