I don't care who you are dear would you mind not sitting on my car !!:ROFLMAO:

[/quote]

So where I you suggesting she should sit Brian?[8|]

Something like 15 or 16 cars on PH. Mostly manuals. None seem to be moving. Can't remember it being like this at any point during my ownership - if there were 5-cars for sale at any one time (and I'm not sure there has been) it would have seemed a lot. Are we now at a point where the cost of these Boxsters will fall? Glut of supply, prices that have been creeping up for a couple of years, new version overshadowing it. It seems the whole Porsche market is slow ATM. Without making a car substantially cheaper does anyone think a Spyder will sell easily right now?

not worth trying to sell atm

Winter, the new cars inc GT4 and 981 SPyder have many people selling R's and Spyders.

best wait till Spring 2016 when the suns out and people want a new toy at £40k not at £65k/£80k

Spyder will go back up in price long term , just a few part ex's atm nothing to worry about.

Prices will come back again as has been said ......most on here will get their money back if they decide to sell up and move one or loose a tiny amount 1 or 2 K The mileage seems to be the price point more than what chairs /gears/ wheels it has( not opening up that debate again )

I have just had mine serviced (Major )10.750 miles since Sept 2011 4year and added another 2 year warranty to it so should be cost free motoring till Oct 2017 [8|] and if I decide to sell before then at least it will be more desirable with full warranty in place .

Slightly different review as in high CO2's low mpg best not driven :ROFLMAO:

Let's hope VW didn't do those CO2 emissions tests, or we might all have to just look at our new cars instead of driving them :ROFLMAO:

On the delivery date front...

I found out yesterday that my original Oct build date is still at the "Open" stage, whilst the only other Spyder order at my OPC, which was a Nov build has had a bump up, and is now got a build date in first week of Oct.

his car has 18 ways, whilst mine has GT2 buckets.

Looks like all bucket seats are getting pushed back I guess.

Looks like this "VAG" has gone completely to the dogs and the customer is no longer king pin in their Global domination plans [] This Porsche fiasco is worthy of anything British Leyland achieved back in the day :ROFLMAO:

Glad to see the ex VW corporate fat cat has only managed to scrape together a 32 million $ pension pot for his efforts :ROFLMAO:

His final words

'Its better just to look at this car tha drive it'

did he know something about the emissions scandal prior to this video being made[]

If this 2132 miles GT4 is up at £103650k today [] wonder if a used 981 Spyder would achieve similar day one premium [&:]

would get me into a 458 if some one buys mine for £120k :)

I'll take the abuse of being called a flipper, but it's once in a life time access to 458 prices

Fresh OPC Spyder (5) which is where we were when this forum started ;-)

Good to see they are still selling fast at the right price. There is a nice one with the right bits on for most: seats, wheels, chrono, PSE, low miles. Just under £40k. Would expect this to be gone fairly quickly.

Mine might be up for sale soon. Very tempted to buy a 993S I've seen. Thinking about putting it up at £38k (white, spyder wheels, manual short shift, chrono, heated sports seats, PSE, PCM, leather (dash etc), OPC warranty until end of year, 36,000 miles.

Demon, you are good on prices - too high, too low? Do have a concern about 993/all aircooled pricing at present. They are very high and appear not to be moving which suggests too high. In the past these have been attractive IMO because they were cheaper and held their money which offset the much bigger servicing/upkeep costs. Not sure they are as appealing today? Anyone got any pearls of wisdom?

I wouldn't have much concern at 993S prices

bog standard 993,s yes I think they are overpriced

very low mileages should hold ok but there are loads of high mileage hopefuls out there

the upkeep costs are high - mine cost £6k in one year alone on upkeep

as usual ,buy the best low mileage S you can find (like mr Dunn!)

and you'll be fine !!

that one for sale is a good price and has xenons although don't like the painted seat bits!makes wonder what sort of trade in price he was offered!£37k perhaps?

Price's don't mean much atm

the markets dead on loads of cars, GT3 is dead, 458's dead, PDK :p dead,, R8 V10's, MP12's ALL NOT SELLING

all the cars I have had my eye on the last 3 or 4 months are ALL still for sale !!

luck of the draw selling atm, if the Spec is what that ONE buyer is looking for you can get £45k for a Spyder, but other that that one off buyer, best to not put a car up for sale atm unless it's cheap.

seems a tough market which normally always slows down towards Christmas any way so it will only get worse.

Keep hold I say and start spring off with some higher prices.

been there done that selling a GT3 in winter and took 5 to 8k less than if I were to hold on just 3 months !!! massive mistake even trade bids were low ! If I would have waited 3 months it would have sold in a week for 8k more !

Thanks people. Can relate to the £6k upkeep in one year - had a low mileage 964 and that was the same.

Maybe keeping both until March is a good idea. My worry would be prices bomb. The upside is I get to use both.

Seventeen Spyders on PH tonight we are back in 2010/11 again just need the prices to match and we have the whole 9 Yards [&:]

Its going to be a long hard slog for any sellers now

Unless you own a Red one then you only have one other seller to contend with [:)]

It will bounce back I am sure ...
