Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Tyinsky is that my ex still giving reliable service no matter what is thrown at it. What a car. I'm sure it has many stories to tell between us :)

Have you decided to keep?

Yes, keeping for now. Taking it to the Alps in December - let's see how it copes in the snow! ;)

Manual only Spyder soon to be joined by manual only "R"

Saw the 981 Spyder at Goodwood FOS and at Althorp. Was told that they were all sold but it might be possible that Porsche would build some more in 2016. I was so taken with the car that I decided to find a PC that would accept a deposit and paid this in August more in hope than expectation. Today I received a call from my chosen PC asking me to provide a spec of the car I want ahead of a build date in Jan / Feb next year! Looks like there'll be a gorgeous Cayman S for sale sometime next year.

Great result for what will be a very rare sight on our roads[;)] Funnily enough I know of 3 people who have all dropped out for one reason or another and I guess that made 3 other peoples day in the meantime :ROFLMAO: What was your chosen spec

Still working on the spec but need to get something to the PC quickly. Spec likely to be guards red, standard wheels, leather / alcantara interior with red stitching, red seat belts, PCM, heated seats, cruise, maybe BOSE, maybe painted roll over bars, not sure on interior and exterior lights and one or two other details.

Looks great in Red but do we have a stone chip on the RH bottom lip of the bonnett?

Also this car has no head lamp wash system?[&:]

No headlamp wash is fine for me - it won't be going out in the rain or the dark!

No nights out then, well you could go the whole hog and have no headlights Ian!

(Deletion of the headlamp wash was not an option on the Porsche Spyder builder[&:]

Have to say the RED looks great ..would go for the red painted hoops not sure about the wheel colour perhaps a bit too dark and not with alcantara steering wheel will get stained very quickly I would imagine . As to head light wash was it only on xenon's that is required ..or is this old hat now a days

you only need headlamp wash on hi power lights, they now make low watt xenons, but you want to spec the better lights for sure.

So how many new Spyder owners are using their car every day? Or just for weekend blasts?

Do you think the Spyder will go the same way as the GT4 in terms of re-sale? So free motoring for some Spyder owners for a while?

You have a good choice of colours since that same dealer has almost as many 12C's as we do 987 Spyder's for sale[&:]
