That's a brave choice! I too like the Spyder Classic interior but think it only goes with the silvers (especially GT Silver but I can't bring myself to pay £1595 for that) and possibly agate grey. The reason I doubt whether it goes with agate is that in some lights agate has a brown hue, in fact the agate grey in the interior in my Cayman S looks more like brown but looks great with the exterior colour. I've tried in vain to find a photo of agate with Spyder Classic as I don't think the configurator gives a very accurate image. Need to find one soon as I need to lock my spec by 2 December.

Thanks Daro - you must have the most comprehensive library of pics known to man !

it looks like a possibility, if radical. i had a cobalt blue boxter in the past and like the colour and now have a rhodium silver macan so another silver car would lack imagination!

Interesting comments Ian re agate, not keen on brown ish. Agree re the config, even the blue looks nothing like the pics Daro posted yesterday. I also need to see both in the flesh before final lockdown.

You won't find a friendlier and better informed bunch of Spydermen anywhere else on the www even if I say so myself

Look forward to hearing your final choice and seeing it on here when delivered of course

Sorry off topic now back to those other Fins and Horses in this Thread, Herring.

Back to the cars - GT Silver as seen at Althorp this year, really did look good. I have owned a 550 Anniversary (These are GT Silver) for 7 years and its easy to live with, has a really deep shine and is quite unique, people often ask at shows what colour this car is. I would no be disappointed if I had a 981 in GT Silver.

nice looking but i do think Heath Robinson had a hand in that mechanism
Very British Leyland imo and has a wonderful (not) wobble when half way between open & closed

Maybe to eliminate that would have meant a seriously beefed up version of the same which would have put the 10kg lined roof savings straight onto the scales

A little Heath Robinson is worth the added ease and speed of lowering and raising the folding top

You are 100% correct I never do that but I will therefore be accessing the rear boot for my odds and sods and its then I will be getting the gentle reminder this isn't a 987 Spyder with its work of art ali hinges and prop stick so use the front end SIMPLES

I liked my 997 GTS which was GT Silver and can agree with the above. If i went GT Silver i'm not sure if i would go silver alloys or satin platinum alloys.....

I'm with you on the wheel colour dilemma if I chose GT Silver. More fundamental is whether I would pay £1595 for GT Silver. I hear what people say about it being a good colour, but when 550 and R60 Spyders were made it was a no cost option!

Resale Red looking really good imo

Smilies are corrupting postings for some reason so best wait for a fix before using them again!
