great to see these spyders used 40k miles is good to see :) it used, as you can see the car for sale is 4k miles in 6 years lol (not worth owning imo)

mine is 13k miles , so 2k miles PA (only just worth having ! )

This is the first time I've had heated seats in a convertible.

I'm a convert....

Just driven into work, roof down heated seats and heater on full chatter.

Fantastic !!

Maybe the last trip out for a while though as I fear the salt is coming [&o]

I think most agree heated seats for a daily soft top car is a must have. For an open top summer concept car far less so.

Shame the new 918 style in the 981 cannot be heated ! as that is the seat of the moment imo

The 918 seats at a whopping £971 and no heating option It would be a no brainier for me.

Oh well, you make your seat and lie on it, hot or cold, I guess[;)]

when you say new buckets they are the OLD buckets ie the same as in my 987.2 car ! sort of dates the car imo in a 981.

the NEW 918 style mega looking items cannot be heated it seems. people do wow at them in my GT4 they are mega.

Can't be the same as your 987.2 as these are heated and yours aren't :ROFLMAO:

The new must have seat doesn't fold[&:] isn't heated [:'(]and costs an extra £917! [] Yep that sure is a must have :ROFLMAO: for the Porsche coffers

Firstly cannot see the point of heated seats when you have the alcantara centres whereas full leather I can! Secondly the 918 'style' seats imo are not mega as they don't fit all and I know of a least one 918 spyder owner who did not spec them in his RS instead went for the folding buckets as more comfortable!

So 981 spyder owners get the fantastic folding buckets seats for free whereas they cost me £1400 in the Gt4! But you don't really need them heated though

Wouldn't need them heated in a GT4.... it's got a nice metal roof.

But this morning with it at 8.5c and no roof, I was very glad to have the heated seats warming my bits !![:D]

I agree. I'm sure heated is better than not for sure, but I have the alcantara buckets, use the car (weekends only mind) all through the winter - with the roof down whenever it's dry and reasonably bright - and with the blower on full it is absolutely fine, the alcantara is warm.... to me the carbon buckets are part of the core Spyder DNA... :ROFLMAO:

Personally love the 918 buckets in mine, look fantastic, height adjustable (unlike the old buckets) and super comfortable. Would be nice if they were heated, but hey ho! Not sure why anybody would think folding buckets have any advantage in a two seater!

My buckets are full leather and my back finds the heated seats a fantastic soothing relief on the aching days which are sadly more often than not [:(] I even manage to enjoy them on relatively mild warm days when the backs bad so for me its the only serious option to have considered

I am sure either bucket wouldn't prove a deal breaker when resale time comes around

the problem with these type of Porsche cars they can usualy be only afforded by ald gits with achin bodies, me included, but as these are good weather cars and as such i still dont see the need for hested seats (one owner in US fitted heating elements to his buckets on his Spyder and not too dificult to do)

because people on the back foot have to make up stuff ;-) folding seats lol it's amusing

the 918 style will fit way more people than the old style as the height adjust is quite big, also they sit lower than the old style which sit quite high, in fact higher that chairs.

resale well who cares these days, but 918 style next to old style in like for like cars I bet would sell faster to cover the last few posts above.
