A sponge [] i take it you mean just for the wheels only ....I use a wash mitt and another one for the bodywork. Hard to avoid getting water on the discs .if left the holes will fill up and rust .I had a 993 once and spent hours with a battery drill ,drilling out the rust from the holes came up a treat . I has always been a bug bear with Porsche discs always rust on the inside face .

4mm is not really enough for a serious track day. As they get down further they will heat up more and tend to disintergrate/wear faster. I had about 6mm at Oulton and fully toasted them. For what they cost new pads are well worth while, just make sure you bed them in properly

Carcoon used to do a spray product that they claimed if used properly would eliminate the rusty disc problem. Thanks Andy. Makes sense. I'm already seeing signs of disintegration, plus I may have a passenger in the car the whole day this time, giving the brakes a greater mass to work on. John let us know how you get on with that Carcoon product .I know a personnel question guys but have any of you tried Rim Wax []........[] [][]used a similar product made by Angel Wax and it really does stop brake dust building up on the rims. At least with 19" you can get into the rims to clean them . Brian

I am just using a Turtle Wax Extreme nano-tech wax for wheels from Halfords until I use it up. Can't say I'd rush to buy it again. Have used a SwissVax product before but it was very dear.

It's silver?[] It's a crests to valve hell! Dunno - roof looks wrong somehow and there's something on the rear bumper but that may be a reflection.
