Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

A week before the NEC Dreamrides I had the Spyder booked in for a multistage Correction Detail to include Hubs painting + roof recolored and protected, wheels and paintwork protected in Siramik APT Glasscoat, Calipers protected and to include glass sealed + interior package paintwork topped with Fireball Fusion wax @ [link=http://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Funique-detail.co.uk%2F&h=_AQG5yCLiAQHoOzg4SyyG6fV3Gnfg1PyK49p9AP6NgscMNw&enc=AZPaMTkQ5Sd5hTrnOweo95nOLbk5Z_GtgbAJcKfL9mdHLjeW4qK6yAZV1urjMMbN8oDushv_4L8eJsc4Aly4gVKkKyLek0B_1p-QBjjg9BdhQUHkvikFtoXbn2zXOwM_GOT9Pn17xWMC-hjjEy24OZLKY9f-IW48o5VNl_cyKtP5F6zAQQW1GsWRUcAfRfVzsrwinZCj6LlFWH8KcyaVA9yB&s=1]unique-detail.co.uk[/link].

She Looks the absolute Business now, paint feels like glass.

Some photos for you to enjoy, but they really don't do her justice, she looks so much better in the flesh.

A couple of our Dreamriders said they picked the car because it looked sooo good.

looking good John ..keeping it that way in the winter is the tricky bit .As I said at the NECC the rear is the thing that draws people to it and separates it from a standard Boxster .

We did change our Sunday approach compared to Saturday.

Only 2 rides on the Saturday, poor weather and roof on.

On Sunday, we changed the description on the cool wall from Boxster Spyder to Just Spyder, gave it a damn good clean, took the roof off, and then parked it with the arse on view, as opposed to the front.

Seemed to do the trick as we got 11 Dreamriders on Sunday. The Weather did help as well though.

Something to brighten a very dull grey November day [&:]

I see 911 Virgin have sold that nice white one now.
By there standards it took a while but went in the end - Life in the Spyder lane post Brexit [:)]

On the other hand some seem to have been on PH forever []

I guess people get more fussy on spec, no new Spyders seem to be selling either, and Jeff's is high spec and the cheapest.

It really is a car which one has got to want.

I thought about trying the new one out for a bit, but what to offer these sellers is hard to know, when they have sat there 6 months.

I expect that you won't want to hear this but maybe the bubble has finally burst.

Maybe the demand from those that want a Spyder at any cost has been sated, certainly one that has not sold after six months suggests one that is over priced (in the current market), not simply the wrong spec.

I went on a walk a few years ago (been since too) with a friend who is an estate agent. We passed a house that I knew had been up for sale for over two years and I asked my friend what he thought the problem was with it. He replied simply; "It's overpriced David".

Talking of which have you seen how many (FHC Spyder) GT4's are for sale! OMG

GT4 x 49 on PH

Spyder x 8 on PH

My opinion is it will be a while before the 981 Spyder reaches list price which for most was around £65-70 k unless a new Spyder hits the streets down the line .The 987 Spyder has never reached its list of around £58K in 2010 most are around the £42 -46 K for low mileage ones .

I do like the MP one in GT Silver looks class Most of the OPC cars I would imagine are on SOR and know for a fact one owner was offered £71 K for his and the dealer would advertise it at £82K so a bit off wriggle room there . Any way mine are tucked up for the winter -0 up here today[X(]

41 GT4's for sale and 600 UK made so less than 7% for sale, that's not that bad.

So most are using and keeping them.

8 Spyders out of circa 230 less than 3.5% for sale even more dedicated keepers [8D]
