I followed the above link and somewhere in there I noticed a reference & link to a "Spyder Owners Club". So, cutting a long story short, I am now their first UK member!!!

Was going to make it 3 but not happy giving out my Vin No and Post code etc to a unknown source. At least with PCGB you do not need to divulge these details to join.

They were happy with UK as my postcode

What you have to remember is that in Germany a postcode is very different to the UK. Here, in the UK, a postcode narrows the location down to perhaps 6 to 10 houses. In Germany the postcode does no more than identify the town. So putting the first 3 digits of your postcode should be more than enough to satisfy.

Be nice to get a decent UK-section established

Did you get my email via PH today ?

Hi Brian - sorry for delay. Just checked and ended up in junk mail. But thanks for you comments. Enquired about the Edinburgh silver car, but didn't have climate, so decided to pass on that. I know it's not important to some, but is to me (hayfever!)

Don't forget to keep your details updated with the Boxster Register.

If you have changed or bought a Boxster .

Thank you .

Cliff.

it's an open top concept car with mega air flow with the roof up, lol AC will not help with hayfever in a 987 Spyder lol.

Have you looked for an Cayman R, same car but with a roof :)

with all those wants I think you would be better off with a GTS. the nav isn't good and will soon be outdated tech. who needs music with a PSE. climate with a rag top, really. this is a car that needs to be kept basic. if you want bells and whistles then GTS is the car. lady parking is good to have as it's hard to see anything at the back while reversing. leather is nice but scarcely found. manual, buckets and Spyder wheels they are the must haves

This one went in hours of advert coming online [8D]think it was circa £46k

I can see why you you've said this Rocket Man - I do. But I do a lot of night driving (roads quieter), frequent trips to Wales & occasional Alpine driving. So improved lights aren't a bad thing for safety. PCM 3 has iPhone music control too (agree Nav isn't great) which is handy/safer when commuting across French/Swiss motorways.

I've also mainly owned Lotuses & Porks (previously owned a 987 Spyder & GT4) plus driven the Boxster & Cayman GTS. GTS is great car, but not for me. I need more involvement from a car. I really enjoy 'driving' ... but just wouldn't mind a few 'nice to haves' if available.

Seriously the climate helps with hayfever ;-p .... I'm actually one of those crazy people who isn't a diehard open-top motoring fan, but just adore the shape of the Spyder. I even love the function, ethos and shape of the tent. And then there's the humps. Did/have considered R, but prefer the Spyder for the reasons above. R sounds better imo, but Spyder just feels more special. A subjective thing I know.

I have a load of the bloody things lol, I cannot choose which is best, but I do have to say (as my Spyder has zero added weight, no AC, radio, PCM, plus ceramics a rare thing etc) it feels more like my old Exige than any other car I have owned, so watch the weight, or take a look at the new Elise Sprint. avoid PCM imo it is so dated and no help in euro land. and roof up the cars noisy so no point having a radio either, and I don't jest !!! the car seems more noisy roof up then down, in my trip to Spa 3 years back I wore ear plugs.

I also have hayfever but nothing really helps, it's a very annoying thing :-( but then I never drive roof up in the Spyder as I have the R or GT4 for that, the Spyder is my Exige for the person who cannot be arsed with Lotus hassle.

the crazy trio ;-) but I do really like the new Elise Sprint.

Might be persuaded to let go of mine this year, doesn't get any use and considering having an everyday Porsche.

Spec: 2010;white; 12k miles; manual; carbon buckets; PCCBs; spyder wheels; PSE; short shift; full Porsche service history; leather dash; no radio, PCM etc - pure as it was meant to be. Great condition. Fabulous car, chose to keep this rather than the 981 I bought, will be sad to see it go.

If you're interested, kick us off by making me an offer via PM.
