The 718 Spyder will be N/A and possibly the last N/A version going forward - In the meantime all current 981 Spyder owners have a cracking classic Porsche to enjoy going into 2019 and onwards []

What I hope for is that Porsche dealers do more to discourage flipping, although their fiscal priorities mean that they probably encourage it
With talk of the 718 Spyder being a 2020 release, why would Porsche go back to old engines when they can stick a tuned 718 GTS 4 pot in there.... Time will tell

Have a good Xmas to all. Maybe we’ll get all the #spyders together sometime in 2019 for an outing.
Yes a very Happy Christmas to all new and ageing Spydermen...
Would love to get a Spyder gathering together for next year Chris.
Maybe something around the clubs Silverstone Classic ??
A drive out on the Friday or Saturday and some dedicated parking at the Classic on the Sunday..........
Lets see..
There ends the speculation for 2018.

Have a great Xmas
They would look even better in convoy winging it down a B road !!!
Back in May I posted on this and the Cayman forum that a friend and I had carried out a frequency analysis of some sounds from video clips of GT4 and Spyder prototypes which confirmed a 6-cylinder N/A motor not a turbo 4-pot, and I haven't seen or heard anything to the contrary since that time.
So, fact not speculation in that respect. Rumours when we'll actually see the cars are however still speculation.
Jeff
I’ve already booked Flights !!
I don’t see myself changing the Spyder though as it does everything I want from a 2 seat convertible.
What I do want is a new 6cyl NA GT4 to sit beside the Spyder.
This will give me a car for everyday of the year.....
Here’s hoping
