Bedford Trackday

ORIGINAL: andy watson Thanks to all you guys that made it, it was a great day and with the overall numbers down plenty of clear track time [:)] 8 of us made it for a good evening meal, and there is some serious talk of another this year?? Defiantly one for the annual calendar this though.
Andy, thanks for suggesting it and focusing our minds! Got my car back to my mechanic without further issue - in fact, driving on the road you'd not suspect anything is wrong with it at all. The garage is looking further into the knocking noise which he suspects is still connected with the exhaust hitting something (or v v ) Good news- the exhaust does not seem to hinder performance and I didn't have a noise board waved at me this time [:D] Definitely up for another track day once the knocking is sorted! Cheers Mick

Good news Mick, glad you got her home ok. The boys are wanting another one...........soon [:D] Keep us posted on the car

A really fantastic day yesterday - great conditions, plenty of track time, and no major mechanical problems for anyone (glad to hear that your knocking noise doesn't look to be serious Mick), and a good meal afterwards. Thanks Andy for co-ordinating! Roll on the next one! Mick

Got the car back from the garage yesterday following the knocking which curtailed my track day. He's moved the exhaust around and having tested as well as one can on the road, I couldn't replicate the noise. Fingers crossed he's nailed it this time. Taking it to Augment Automotive today for new fuel pump, injectors and intercooler modification followed by a remap to get it running smoother and ensure the fuel to air mix is good throughout the rev range. Be interesting to get a bhp figure for it too. Cheers Mick

Sorry about the slight delay....... Some pictures from the day - [link=http://s787.photobucket.com/user/A9XXC/library/944s%20At%20Bedford%20June%202014?sort=4&page=1]Here[/link]

Ref photos, i suspect i might have looked a bit glum had you have captured me in a pic - just as well you didn't! Looking forward to getting the car back when re-mapped and another track day. Cheers Mick

Looks like you had a good day - gutted I couldn't make it this time but away in Sicily [:(] Look forward to the next one though!

Great stuff guys. Keep posting your track plans as I may be able to meet up for something between the first week of July and late August. Would really love to do Donny again or spend some time learning Oulton.
