Brize norton

I'm sure I put my wife down as the passenger, but it looks as if she can't make it.. I am planning on taking a friend so will call to alter the passengers name if possible. If not looks like I'm on my own[]
Thanks for the info and contact numbers.

Found this, hope it helps. Helen do let me know your final decision, don't want to look like gary-no-mates sat at the services[;)]

Well after calling the number given, here is the result after a long telephone conversation. I hope that being as we filled in forms a while ago we won't have to but this it what I have been told.
Information is available during working hours 8-4 on 01993 897653
Gates open at midday!! and the event takes places between 12.30-5.30
All drivers and passengers will need to provide 2 photographic forms of ID which needs to include either passport or driving licence. Everybody will need to book in.
I hope the gentleman I spoke to is being OTT but I will call the number tomorrow.

GaryW

I've e-mailed my contact at Brize -awaiting reply.

Nice one Helen -the main entrance, if I remember, is at the end of the B4020 in Carterton.

Dave Clover has the database also. (won't post his number on a forum) s well as Joanne Campbell

Cheers Melv

Dave has returned my call and seems to have his head screwed on properly, all those who have filled in the forms will have passes awaiting at the gate. ID may be asked for by the Military Police at any time, so it is suggested that you carry some.
We are requested to enter by the main gate and go to LANE 1 (classic cars etc). He will be there from 10am.
Common sense will be used so Helen you will get in with either car, and my passenger can be altered (thats all I wanted)
He has given me his personal email so if anybody has any requests late arrivals/entries then PM me and I will forward it to you or if John would like it please do call me . Dave will check his email prior to leaving on Saturday. See you all there (or the car park prior)

ok then.

i'll be aiming to be at Burton-on-the-water at 10.15am and leave by 10.30am for the drive to Brize Norton if anyone wants to join us then be there. as JCB has said you need to have filled in an application form prior to this otherwise your name won't be on the guards list and as the song(can't remember who by) goes "IF YOUR NAMES NOT DOWN YOUR NOT COMING IN"[&o]

Gary how about meeting up at Tamworth services on the M42 at 9am??? anyone else coming can also join us there if they like.

ok arrangments are as above. so Garys meeting Larry and me at Tamworth. then Brian and Digger are meeting us at Burton-on-water ?? is that correct? anyone i've added that i shouldn't or not added cos i didn't know about??

A fellow pilot eh Melv?

Avbrief 4 day giving mainly sunny with slight chance of Isol shower

I will be there at around 12.00 with my 10 YO son - we are coming in from Surrey

Thanks all, see you Tomorrow.
Helen is it Burton or Bourton for the car park? if its Bourton on the water are you not going via the fosse?

Also don't forget its the Grand prix this weekend, the A43 across from the M1 to M40 has major diversions, have been down there today to the OPC and the traffic wasn't too bad although there was a heavy police prescence including Talivan's.

Hi Gary yes it's bourton-on-the-water so yes the fosse way would be better really. than either the M40 or the M5. so how about meeting at the Harvester at Hinckley instead? 9am as before.

Do take the Fosse Way -cracking road!! Have fun.
